I bought this in king size. I have a standard-size bed, but it has a thick mattress and is far off the floor. I wanted it to hang nicely off the sides of the bed and it does. It does not reach the floor, but a nice distance off the floor. It is light weight and reversible.

This quilt is perfect. Was surprised by its softness and weight of the cotton - it will provide year round comfort. This is a very pretty quilt and good quality for the price., many blues and greens in it. It is kind of stiff but holds a nice shape too on the bed. I bought a king size for an expanded queen bed and it was perfect size.
