    • Wifi Card problems, terrible first impressions
Been an hour or two of trying different things to get it to work. Wifi just doesn't seem to work and there is crust all over the device and in between keys. The charger isn't the correct color and is bent to the point where it only fits in one side. IT DOES NOT COME WITH A PEN. The device itself is great and I still recommend it. I realize this was second hand and refurbished. However, there was no stylus pen, as advertised, and no documentation leaflet or sheet from Dell. So I have to find it online and print it. I can get along without the pen, as I will go and get a new mouse for this pc. I bought it to run Linux as there were no preloaded Linux boxes available. So I will load the new OS from a dvd and complete this rating after I am able to use it for awhile. ... show more

I wasn't happy with the first impression of the laptop. Lets dive in... The laptop does everything it said it would, if you could get it to work. First off I am an IT Professional with Microsoft certifications. I know Dell's are pretty good laptops but going through the what I have been going through is a head scratcher, Upon going through the initial setup every thing appeared okay but then the problems started. Each feature, sound, finger print scanner, backlit keyboard etc...had an issue. I ran a windows update but that didn't do it. I then went to Dell and ran a service check on the laptop. Warranty is expired but a worked around that. Dell support automation system updated my drivers and it resolved most of the issues. When I started configuring for personal use I experienced more issues but the dreaded locking up 4 times or more was scary because I had peroneal files on by then, pics, movies and stuff. Now the sound doesn't work. The packaging was good and timely delivery. The charger was dirty and thrown in the box. Pen worked but battery is low, comes with a lanyard but not in box. Pro's: Awesome laptop Great features and Display Con's Initial setup is painful Recurring and on going issues Poor QA process (my opinion) ... show more

The laptop arrived safely, but the power button was broken. The only way to turn on the laptop was to rely on the lid sensor. My package also did not contain a pen, but I wasn't really expecting it to.

    • Just Bad
The laptop had extremely bad first user experience. None of the drivers were updated touchscreen wasnt working properly took 6 hours of research and googling and downloading to fix every problem that came with it. After a few days of working just fine. The laptops battery life started doing weird things. At the maximum it never lasted me over 5 hours. Sometimes not even more than 2-3 hours on 75percent on nothing but just chrome amd firefox video conferencing and web browsing. Its better spend a little bit extra and get a new one as i feel its a “renewed” laptop problem. Returned it back to amazon. ... show more
