I am about halfway through my first bottle. I recently bumped up from a 10% c to this 15%. I was expecting some skin sensitivity after the increase, but didn't notice any. The texture is great, it isn't super sticky like some serums. The price point is good. The only negative is the smell, but it isn't enough to turn me off to this. I can't say whether I've noticed a major change in skin tone since I've already been a big C user for awhile, and I know it takes more than a few weeks. It is important to me to use skincare and makeup products that have "clean" ingredients. For reference, I have quite dry skin that worsens in the colder/dryer months. Living in the high desert certainly doesn't help! I sometimes deal with dullness or patchiness in my complexion. This serum is said to help with these issues and in my experience, it does! I have added this serum to my morning and evening skincare routines, after cleaning and before moisturizing (as Herbivore Botanicals recommends). The dispenser is good at giving just the right amount of product. The serum itself is also bright yellow (from the turmeric I assume). It also smells subtly of turmeric. It has a liquid gel-like consistency It applies nicely and leaves a slightly tacky finish that is great for following up with moisturizer. My skin feels nourished after using this and it has helped give me a more even complexion. This Nova 15% Vitamin C + Turmeric Brightening Serum is pricey but effective. I have no idea what this black stuff is, maybe mold? I used this on my skin and idk if it can harm me! I didn’t realize till I opened the cap when it was almost finished. DO NOT BUY!
