I'm dedicated to Neutrogena skincare, so I'm probably biased. I'll start off with that disclaimer. My preteen uses this cream if they have a breakout, and it does the job well and gently (swelling and redness go down quickly). The product itself works amazingly. It has cleared up most of my acne I mostly have just red spots left that are getting cleared up too. This is the only thing that I have found to work on clearing up my face (excluding healthy eating, btw try to avoid milk if you dont want to get acne, some foods contribute to acne). My skin is almost clear after struggling for months with a breakout. I've been using it for about 2 or 3 months now. Recently I discovered a faster way for the product to work. I find it most efficient when I add a soft layer on the skin then wait 10 or so minutes for it to absorb then add another layer, works faster. Whenever you dont need to go out anywhere, you can put a patch on the area until it dries the skin and that way seals the skin so that the product can work under. Then wash it off in the evening and you can exfoliate the skin and it really helps acne go away faster. You dont have to do it this way, but I'm just pointing it out that it works faster this way (be careful though becuase you have to observe your own skin type, I am very sensitive. If you feel any burning you shouldnt add that much on, but if you feel fine then you'll be ok). Overall it is normal for it to dry out the skin that's why it is a good idea to moisturize your face. I use cetaphil moisturizer just because my skin is so sentisitve to products, not all products get along with my skin, and this one seems to work well. Also, I've tried other products and cleansers including korean brands but my skin is way to sensitive to things like that sometimes, I break out. The one cleanser I started using after my doctor recommended it, is cetaphil face wash. It's the most basic but non-clogging face wash. With that being said, my routine usually goes: cetaphil cleanser, soft layer of benzoyl peroxide, then BB cream (healthier for skin then other harsh makeup and it also has moisturizing effects and sunscreen (sun is #1 cause of aging skin). Then at night I wash my face with cetaphil cleanser and then add benzoyl peroxide, wait to absorb and add another good layer to work during the night. If I see myself getting dry skin, I can take a night off from benzyl peroxide and exfoliate using cetaphila and an exfoliating brush, then add cetaphil moisturizer for the night. Packaging comment: for some reason the package is always dented whenever it comes. I dont like that. But I dont want to judge the product based on packaging, so I'm giving 5 for actual product.
