This is a great bird feeder, holds a lot of bird seed and has lots of different ways to hang it. The camera has a really high quality image and the app is super easy to use. Within 24 hours, I had tons of cool videos of birds very very close up. The AI even seems to identify them correctly (even squirrels). If you choose to sound the siren when a squirrel is on there, it DOES work. Can't promise the squirrel won't come back though :-). All in all, great product. ... show more

I bought this bird feeder for my elderly (mid-80's) parents for Christmas as they already had a couple of feeders that they enjoy watching. This is next level amusement tho. My husband got it set up for them as the tech may have been a little more than my Dad could master. It seemed to take the birds a day or two to find it but once they did the word spread in the bird world that there was a fancy new feeder in town and they started flocking to it by the dozens. My dad has to refill it about once every day & a half!! (I guess now I'd better buy him some more seed! LOL) I THOUGHT the model I ordered included both the solar panel and the AI bird identification but I was mistaken - I only got the solar panel so read the product description closely before ordering as these features are both apparently options. They mostly get cardinals and wood peckers, a few Jays and some varieties of finches & wrens. Sometimes there's barely room for everyone to fit!! We installed it on top of an old close line pole so it would have a sturdy post and be in a spot where the solar panel will get lots of sun. I was worried they may have problems with squirrels but so far they've left it alone!! The app is a nice feature to have - it really keeps my parents occupied!! It works quite well and has good quality pictures. (ETA right after I submitted this review they got hit by a raccoon during the night - 49 times in 2 hours! Drained the battery down to 13% with all of their shenanigans. Wiped him out of food. Uggg. Lesson learned to not refill the feeder right before dark.) ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This camera is hands down the greatest gift for a bird lover. My husband bought me this because I can’t get out as much due to my health condition, but I am able to watch my sweet birds anywhere — in my living room / or at the doctor’s office. I highly recommend this product. It was so easy to set up!! The solar panel is so wonderful, you don’t ever have to worry about taking it off and charging it! It just stays charged! I love how it even identifies the birds! I will be ordering the accessories for it as well, like the hummingbird feeder attachment! I am 1000000% happy with this purchase! ... show more

Overall, I like my Birdfy smart feeder. It was pretty easy to setup, and has made out fine tied to a tree even in 60+ mph winds. For the most part, it's good at only capturing video when it detects motion, but does have some false positives. I'm a little disappointed with how much is locked behind a subscription service though, and in fact it's multiple ones. It doesn't work at night as advertised, and I can't even filter motion or get a live view through the camera without paying extra money. If I knew that ahead of time I probably would've bought something else. ... show more

Update: I wish the representative I first spoke with at Netvue had told me that there is another app. It's called Birdfy. I had been using the Netvue app. Anyway, that cleared up everything. I can no download videos with no problem. Love the feeder. Camera is great. Durability is good. The solar works wonderfully. I could download videos last summer. Now that it''s beginning to warm up, I went back to camera app. There's no longer I way that I can see to download videos. I even purchased the basic event recording subscription. Nothing. And the customer support chat was a joke. Not a bit of useful help and it took forever. I do NOT recommend this product. I almost never write negative reviews, but this product and service deserves it. ... show more

I bought this with high expectations, based on recommendations from a friend. But I am enjoying it SO MUCH and getting such JOY from these amazing creatures. It has exceeded all my expectations! The Birdfy products’ motto —- birds in sight, joy in mind —- captures my experience so well! Seeing the birds up close and having their sounds amplified via the built in speaker is wonderful. I have been using the camera for over a month and I recently had a hardware issue where I reached out to support. They were extremely helpful they provided me feedback on what to do, when that did not work they sent me a replacement. It was completely hassle free. I got my first bird today!! This bird feeder is wonderful. The solar panel is a must!! Very sturdy and made well. It holds quite a bit of seed. It can also be used similar to the Ring doorbell because I can see all my deliveries etc. Highly recommend!!
