This is what I've discovered after experimenting with this camera for a few days. I've only used the camera in motion-detection mode, so I don't know if the following holds true for nonstop-filming mode: The camera has a large field of vision and good motion-detection sensitivity, which captures one-minute-long videos each time it is activated. It's great at detecting motion in a straight-forward line, but very little sideways: When I placed the camera near my living room window at eye level, it was triggered as soon as I entered the front door about 25 feet away; when I placed the camera just above an 8-foot-high door, in which all of the motion took place well below the camera, it wasn't activated until I was about 10-15 feet in front of the it. When I placed the camera to see how it would capture sideways motion, it didn't activate until I appeared directly in front of it. The indoor captures appear slightly darker than the light level that my eyes saw, but I'm sure the captures would appear much brighter if used outdoors. I have no idea what its outdoor night vision would look like. The downside to this camera is that it shuts off after about two hours, no matter how many videos it captures in that time frame (a consistent result after seven different trials; I charged the battery for 2+ hours before first use, per the instructions, and fully recharged it between trials). I was hoping that it would last a lot longer than that -- I wanted an entire overnight period, which I assumed would be easy on the battery if it was only activated once or twice during that time, if at all. The instructions say that "When battery is going to be drained, the camera will be turned off automatically with green flashing light 10 seconds. The data will be saved to micro SD card automatically." If you only need a camera for two hours or less, I highly recommend giving this one a try! ... show more

    • Very Poor Quality, Does not work
SD card retainer mechanism in camera was broken or jammed. I was able to remove SD card from the camera but there was no video on the card. The camera left a thin coating of white crud on the SD card gold contacts. The power button seemed to work but mode did not. Useless, Very poor quality, very disappointing. **** UPDATE **** Returned the camera, bought another one of the same kind, thinking the defect was a fluke. For the 2nd one, the SD socket was better but still vague. The camera turned on but I couldn't get it to record video, despite several hours of trying. I like the idea of a small, no-frills camera but the quality control on this model is unacceptable. ... show more
