After using the Neretva bread machine for a little over a month, I can say I love it and I recommend it. My only caution is that immediately after the baking finishes, if you want to turn off the warmer, you have to hold down the button rather than just pushing it. That button is rather warm, so I use a hot pad or a wash cloth. It doesn't burn your finger without using something, but it's not comfortable for me. Other than that minor thing, I love this little machine. It says it will bake 1.5 or 2 pound loaves, but I have successfully made 1 pound loaves in it. I set it for the 1.5 (750 gram) loaf size, and my 1 pound loaves come out great. I really like having the dual heating elements. I think that helps bake the bread evenly in the tall container. I got the silver stainless steel, and it looks great in my small kitchen sitting on the countertop. It's not huge, so it is a machine I can leave out, and it's not in my way. Many people think they won't have time to bake bread even in a machine, but this could not be further from the truth. It's much easier than you think. You just measure out your ingredients, put them in the loaf pan in the order recommended, set your settings, turn on the machine, and walk away. Three hours later you have a nice loaf of bread that slides out of the pan very easily. A great companion to this machine - or any machine - is the The No-Fuss Bread Machine Cookbook: Hands-Off Recipes for Perfect Homemade Bread by Michelle Anderson. Her book gives ingredient measurements for 1 pound, 1.5 pound, and 2 pound loaves. It really is a "No-Fuss" cookbook. It's well worth the price to get this book, as the Neretva manual is not very detailed. The one pound recipes in the No-Fuss cookbook are the ones I use in my Neretva. I highly recommend this machine! If something ever happens to it, I will buy another one to replace it immediately. I'll never be without a bread machine again! ... show more

This little machine is fantastic. It is simple to use, easy to clean, and looks really nice. For that I think it deserves a 5 star review. However, the included recipes are kind of a joke. There are only a handful of them and most are just a slightly different version of white bread. They taste delicious but we really need more variety. Where's the monkey bread, cinnamon raisin, honey wheat, etc. At least give a link to some website with compatible recipes. If you don't mind a little trial and error to find new recipes I would say 100% choose this bread maker. ... show more

This is a fantastic bread machine with far more settings than my old machine, and does a better job of preparing my dough. So far I baked a test loaf from the recipes in the book, made two loaves of cinnamon raisin bread, then dough for a rye loaf and a milk bread loaf. I'm noticing with my dough that's transferred to a Pullman pan for the oven, the loaves are coming out a lot more moist and softer. I could likely improve upon these loaves by rolling the dough flat and rolling them into a cylinder for the pan, but just pressing a log down into the pan is still working out fantastic. I also made two pizza crust doughs - this machine works the dough where it ends up with crispy edges and doesn't rise too thick during baking. I did attempt one bread machine cake recipe, but this machine didn't bake that one long enough. I did use the stand alone bake setting which finished it, but due to the gap in baking time, it sank in the middle. It was still a tasty, moist cake, if a bit dense. My husband had no complaints and ate the whole thing. Beware of some recipes - the authors of said recipes don't really tell you how long something should cook in their estimation, and it might turn out a bit undercooked. The chart in the manual for this machine is accurate for what to expect with each cycle. Keep that on hand, because I can tell you the one test bread came out of the manual and it turned out fantastic. We used slices from that loaf for several meals. I've already gotten fantastic use out of this new machine, and I love the look. It's fantastic and I look forward to many years of fresh breads to come. ... show more

Looks nice, great compact size, comes in different colors. Seems to be a nice durable non-stick pan. They say it's ceramic, however it does not look like the ceramic coating found in pans in stores (so I'm kinda questioning that). One minor thing is securing the pan and taking it out ( I think they can make a more easier to lock in place, plus the wire handles are weak. I really like the dial menu and the buttons for weight and bread color (pretty simple). The recipes that came with the book I still have to try. But, I have to laugh at some of the measurements in the book like 2 &7/8 cups ( say what?? 7/8 cups??). The picture is of cheese bread I made using my former bread machine recipe book. It came out nice. I made a 1 1/2 lb loaf, the bread tastes great! ... show more

It has been several months since I bought this bread maker, and I am very pleased with it. There are several settings, including one for gluten-free bread, that all work well. Every week, we make homemade dough and never have any problems. The turquoise color looks great on my counter, so I leave it there. In addition to baking bread, I've also experimented with making pizza dough and even cinnamon rolls, both of which turned out delicious. The convenience of having fresh, homemade bread and baked goods at my fingertips has truly transformed my kitchen experience. I highly recommend this bread maker to anyone who loves baking or simply enjoys the taste of freshly made bread. ... show more
