    • Helpful at night to relax muscles that are causing nerve pain in legs

I tried these at the recommendation of a pharmacist, to relax muscles at night that keep pinching nerves at night causing periodic "zings" of pain to the thigh/knee. It is very helpful when taken as recommended (two, just before bed.) There are many different types of magnesium, but magnesium glycinate was specifically recommended for tight muscles causing nerve pain/pressure and to work most quickly, and I find it does help. I often also use it in combination with TheraBlend Magnesium Calming Cream applied to the skin, also just before bed when night pains are especially bad. That particular cream was recommended by a chiropractic neurologist, but it's costly so it's good to also be able to take the mineral in the capsules so I use less of the cream. My only problem with them is that they are HUGE to swallow, but the relief I get at night has been worth it. I would rather take 3 smaller capsules than 2 large ones so hope Nature Made will make that a future option. ... show more

These are bigger than regular-size pills, making them really difficult to swallow two at a time. Even one at a time is hard. I'm afraid to take these before bed out of fear that they'll get stuck in my throat when I lie down.
