My beef is not about the grill as much as it is with Napoleon - a company that lacks the customer service they should be providing given the cost of their products. I Purchased the built in Prestige 500 Pro (propane fuel version). Upon unpacking the grill it was discovered that the gas hose only comes with a 3/8 female connection, which as you know, it does not align well with the 20 lb. propane tank female connection. I contacted Amazon's seller Spotix Inc. to inquire about the missing regulator and coupling fitting. Wil at Spotix informed me that Napoleon doesn't supply those items and that I would be responsible for purchasing them. I then gave Wil some "feedback" on disclosing the need for the additional items prior to purchasing the grill and not after the purchase. To say the least I was not happy with the purchase. I then contacted Napoleon company and inquired why those parts are not included with the grill. The customer service agent proceeded to tell me that since Napoleon discourages the installation of the propane tank directly underneath the grill, for obvious reasons, they do not include the additional parts to properly install gas the connections. Furthermore, she advised me to reach out to a "licensed" professional for installation. Long story short, a heated discussion took place between us and I kept getting the "that's why we advise you to consult a licensed professional" bs that you get from people that don't know what they are talking about. One does not need to be a 'professional' to connect a grill to a gas propane tank. It was like talking to a broken record that kept repeating the same words over and over. I have to say that it's very disappointing/frustrating to pay such price for a grill that does not include the required parts to properly install it. If you're considering buying a Napoleon grill or burner, you should contact the seller and ensure all the required parts will be included with your purchase -BEFORE you buy. The assembly instructions for thr grill are not clear. This grill comes pre-assembled with the exception of the electrics. There are several wires that require connections and there is only a cartoon like instruction on where they go, no wiring diagram and no parts diagram. Once we finally figured things out and completed the assembly the grill works beautifully. Love the led accent lights, the rear sear burner and the rotisserie. I finished my outdoor kitchen and was so excited about grilling. The 4th time I used my grill the handle felt extremely hot to the touch. The grease from down inside grill caught on fire and melted my control knobs. Not the quality I paid for. After sitting on hold for almost an hour waiting to talk with Napoleon, I was told that the replacement part is not in stock and they have no idea when it will be in stock.
