Let me start by saying I LOVE THIS BIKE! The motor is a great assist, no longer have to worry about hills or going too far & not being able to get back. For someone not in the greatest shape or with an injury this bike takes the worry out of it & allows you to have fun on a bike again! The bike feels solid & stable. If you watch the assembly video on amazon or youtube, it is pretty easy. The directions that come with the bike make assembly difficult, but the video will sort you out. There are some adjustments that I had to make during assembly. I needed something like Loctite or JB weld to make the light stay on. The bolts wobble loose with riding and the light falls over, rattling on the fender. Also, I had to take the bike to a shop to have to front brakes set right, I couldn't get them right & they squeaked badly. They still squeak so I will have to take it somewhere else to have them set at the right angle (the 1st shop I went to doesn't like e-bikes, rude). The seat seemed comfy at first but after a few rides I decided to order a replacement from the Nakto website directly, that should be here in a few weeks. I do prefer this frame style of bike, it's better on my back (injury) and I can ride for a very long time without being uncomfortable. TAKE CARE to read & follow the battery instructions. I have followed it strictly & have had great battery performance. I may order a 2nd battery later to extend my range, we'll see how she holds up. I have gotten up some really steep hills in my neighborhood. On the really big hills I still had to work hard, but with the gear system and the motor you don't have to kill yourself going up hills. On flat ground I got up to about 20MPH! Going down that same rather steep hill, 30MPH! Wear a helmet, seriously, that is freakin' fast on a bike y'all. The bike is rather heavy, especially with the battery in. I originally had a standard style bike rack where the bike hangs from the top of the frome. I had to get an adapter bar to allow a space large enough for it to fit. However, it was too heavy for me to lift and I felt uncomfortable with the weight of the bike hanging, essentially from the seat (the way the bar attaches to the bike) the whole way down the road. Decided to replace the rack for one that the bike rests on top of & is secured by the tires and frame. More stability & I don't have to lift the bike as high to get it mounted on the rack. I have to say though, the weight of the bike feels nice while riding, it feels stable & sound. The heavy frame seems to be the trade-off for having quality internals at this price. Feels worth it to me. You get the same motor (beofang) & battery cells (panasonic) that the more expensive bikes use (I checked). The company. At first I was very concerned because the bike did not ship in time, but the seller contacted & let me know they had hit delays. I ordered during the 2020 pandemic, the entire world is having delays, totally understandable. It took longer than I expected, but the bike did arrive. The basket was missing, but the seller said they would send it asap & they did, it's here. No other pieces were missing. I have ordered a replacement seat directly from the website, as I said above, but that was very recently so it hasn't shipped yet. The company is based in California but their stock comes from China. If you order during the pandemic, be patient it will come. Summary; This bike is very worth the value! For the price you get the same motor & battery cells that the more expensive bikes use (I checked). Those are really the parts that matter in an E-bike. The motor is a great assist on hills & allows you to cruise on flat ground, but you can still get a work out if you want one. It's fun to have a mix of both.     • Cheap reliable bike, just the battery and motor are 90 percent of the price!

This is a review of the Nakto Camel Men's bike, both 2021 and 2024 models. These are basically standard rechargable electric commuter bikes like you would find for rent in most urban centers. The price is staggeringly low, at $360 USD. The motor alone sells for $290 and the 36V batter for $295 independently. The battery showed up at 47V on the multimeter, and the motor has a capacity of 500W so this bike can move! You can turn off petal assist and cruise along at about 20 MPH. It's also a heavy substantial looking bike that has a presence on the roadway like a light WWII era motorcycle. The bike seems designed well for operating in wet conditions. All the electronics have waterproof connectors. The weird retro rear shoe brake is a lifesaver in the rain when the front v-brakes are soaked. Replacement parts on the bike is standard, easy, and cheap to find. Its worth it to replace the tubes and tires on both wheels with something higher quality and puncture resistant. Replacing the rear tire and tube requires a workshop and not something you want to be doing on the side of the road. The engine is inside the wheel hub so there's electrical work involved. So just put a new heavy duty tube and tire on from and back when you get it. There are some reviews about the difficulty of assembly of this bike. The only things I had to do was attached the from tire and the handle bars. As long as you have minimal bike experience, you'll be fine. I like these bikes enough that I bought two three years apart. I stripped down the old 250W one and added nobby tires to make it a trail bike. To the new 350W I added city slick tires and "goop" tubes so I don't get a flat in the middle of Boston. ... show more

    • Don't waste your money

Overall very satisfied with this purchase. There are a few flaws as I will mention but nothing worth warranting a negative review. First, speed and power. It has a top speed of 18 to 20 mph, as advertised, and enough power at least for the flat terrain and small hills here in central Florida. Battery range is around 16 to 17 miles for me. I wish that were more but on point for the price. A larger battery would definitely make this bike an excellent value. The throttle is an excellent addition as well, as it gives just enough extra power when needed for getting out of traffic, though I seldom use it unless needed. So far the only cons are the weight, difficult to pedal under manual power as a result, and clicking from the gears at lower speeds. Definitely not the best bike but not the worst, either. Note this review will be updated should I run into anything and I will share here. Update....after several uses, the battery began to discharge rather quickly. Fully charging through several charge cycles has not resolved this. I've gone from a range of 16-17 miles to 4 or 5, at best, before the power indicator goes to empty. This was quickly resolved by the seller replacing the battery and charger. Four months later I got the dreaded flat rear tire. The aluminum frame prevented me from being able to properly re-mount the rear wheel, leaving the bike inoperable, at least without taking the bike to a shop and spending hundreds more to get the issue fixed. Do yourself a favor and swipe left on this one, opting instead for a bike with a carbon steel frame ... show more
