Pilots kneeboard, clipboard, lapboard, and everyday case securely holds and protects your Apple iPad Mini 1/2/3/4/5/6, or any other 7-8" tablet. Aviators, truckers, road trippers, travelers, boaters, and anyone else with an active lifestyle will love having easy, quick, safe, and one-handed access to their devices.
  • COCKPIT READY AND EASILY ADJUSTABLE When securely strapped to your knee or used as a lap board, the iPad is viewable and operable with one hand during critical phases of flight per FAA requirements. The tablet is held in the case by four adjustable clips that are attached to a rotating cradle, allowing easy 360 rotation between landscape and portrait positions. The cut-out design provides full and easy access to all of the device's ports, buttons, and controls.
  • VERSATILE AND MULTI-PURPOSE The removeable Velcro strap securely holds the kneeboard in. Once the strap is removed, the kneeboard becomes a sleek iPad case for everyday use. Easily take your iPad from air to office to home where the built-in and adjustable stand converts the case for laps, desks, or tabletops. Use a low slant for reducing wrist strain while typing on the on-screen keyboard or a higher angle for watching movies or photo slideshows or when typing with a wireless keyboard.
  • HEAVY-DUTY AND DURABLE YET LUXURIOUS Made of, and wrapped in, high quality, genuine black leather for a rich, sumptuous, and satisfying feel. Soft and supple micro-fiber material lines the inside, protecting your device.

  • Way overpriced
Size: Mini
I’ve got some problems with this very expensive kneeboard. 1. It can’t close with an iPad mini and the included metal clipboard and barely closes just with it. It is definitely too short 2. The leg strap was extremely difficult to install and I nearly had to break it to get it through. 3. There are no pen holders. This really surprised me because it comes with the metal clipboard which you would use a pen to write on. I thought I would just be able to put them in between but because it is too small, it does not close while doing that. Because my pen has a clip I was able to clip it on the outside magnetic strap thing but I am unable to use my Apple Pencil because there is nowhere to put it. Overall, it feels really nice in the hand but it is way overpriced and it has a lot of oversights. ... show more

  • Conflicts with ipad mini 6 TouchID and power
Size: Mini
Bought for ForeFlight running on iPad mini 6 in a kneeboard context. Aviators beware: The holder clips cover the TouchId sensor in the top right corner. You lose touchId for sure if you use the clips as intended… and no, you can’t just enroll a partial fingerprint for when the iPad mini is clipped in. I might try cutting one clip off… This situation means you can’t unlock by TouchId and for a solution that won’t be too distracting…. Like entering passcodes while flying… you have to remove security features on the ipad. So bad form saying it works with the ipad mini 6th gen… Also, the Apple Pencil really doesn’t have a home here due to interference with the clips or the folio closure magnets. Come to think of it, there’s not really any sort of pencil holder, but the clips get in the way of the Apple pencil magnetically attaching to the side and the folio doesn’t close properly if the pencil is partly attached. You’ll have to mod the case to have a place to secure the apple pencil too … The metal clipboard that comes with this will most definitely scratch the ipad if attached on the inner left cover. On the outer cover, it doesn’t really attach firmly. And again no real place to store the Apple Pencil here either. So I’d call the metal clipboard a boondoggle. ... show more

  • A Kneeboard for Multitasking Pilots
Size: Full Size
One of my first impressions was that it didn't do what I was hoping it was said it would do. Which was to have the flexibility to place the clipboard on the inside and outside using magnets, allowing you to have a smooth writing surface on one leg as opposed to a lapboard spread across both legs. It took me about 15 minutes before I realized, whether the sellers intended it or not, that the magnetic strap that lays across the front cover, used as a kickstand for the iPad when not used in flight, can be pulled off the front cover, and the metal clipboard placed on the front cover with much better hold than placed on the strap. Once you've finished using the clipboard, lay the strap OVER the clipboard, then open the front cover to access your iPad. Shut the front cover and you'll have the clipboard to write on. Pictured, you can keep the strap placed over the front of the clipboard and you'll still have ample paper to write on for a short clearance or METAR, lift the strap for more writing surface. The leg-strap is a pain to weave into the slits located on the back cover. If you're not flying a lot and you don't mind the heft of the iPad case, you can remove or replace the strap as needed. Just know it's not something you'd want to do everyday. It seems durable enough to last me a few years. However, the cost is prohibitive. I can't say that this is worth anything close to $125. But then, it is one of the only games in town if you're looking for a kneeboard that you can use in this type of configuration. Once you lift the strap and realize that the magnets for the clipboard is much stronger when placed on the front cover, then this becomes a good kneeboard for those multi-tasking pilots who would prefer to write their clearances on paper, while still having securing your iPad to reference ForeFlight. ... show more

  • Expensive and one big flaw, but yet to find anything better.
Size: Full Size
First, despite the fact that this product is VERY overpriced and despite the fact that my first one failed due to a poor build (see picture), I did just order my second one, because I have yet to find a better one. It fits my ipad securely in the air and also allows me to use it as an everyday case (removing the leg strap) when not flying. I did not order the first one through Amazon, so I cannot go into my history and tell you how long it lasted before failing, but I think it was about 18 months to 2 years. Perhaps the case failed BECAUSE I use the product for MORE than just flying. I normally have the elastic knee strap off, and only put it on on when flying. I take my ipad with me to work on a daily basis and use the MyGoFlight as a protective case when in my briefcase. It is a decent general purpose case. But is performs as it should in the air. The elastic straps hold the iPad in place well and the internal rotating plate allows the ipad to easily be set in the horizontal or vertical position. The magnetic removable clipboard holds the paper notepad in place without fail for me. Other than the extreme overpricing, my biggest gripe is that one of the tiny bolt that holds the metal strap support brackets seem to come loose, which allows the metal bracket to swing free. See the photo. When I get the new one from my recent order, I will risk destroying the original to experiment a bit. I think the screw head is only accessible from the inside, and you must rip through the fabric on the inside to reach the screw head to fix it. A bit of superglue in the threads might help it from coming undone again and duct tape over the ripped internal area might prevent the rip from spreading and allow the second one to be a backup. (The fabric area that will need to be ripped is behind the rotating plate, so it will be mostly hidden after I rip it). ... show more
