  • Exceptional Performance and Modular Design!
Size: 1000W Style: MPG A1000G PCIE5
I recently upgraded my gaming rig with the MSI MPG A1000G PCIe 5 Gaming Power Supply, and it has exceeded my expectations in every way. This power supply is an absolute beast, and here's why I'm giving it a 5-star review: Reliable Power Delivery: The 80 Plus Gold certification ensures high efficiency and stable power delivery to all my components. I've never experienced any power-related issues since installing it. Silent Operation: The power supply operates almost silently, even under heavy gaming loads. It's a night-and-day difference compared to my old PSU, and it keeps my setup nice and quiet. Full Modular Design: The full modular design is a game-changer for cable management. I only connect the cables I need, reducing clutter and improving airflow inside my case. This is a boon for anyone obsessed with aesthetics. Ample Power: With a 1000W capacity, this power supply easily handles my high-end GPU and CPU. I have room for future upgrades without worrying about power constraints. Stylish Aesthetics: The design of the power supply complements my gaming setup perfectly. The MSI logo and the overall build quality are top-notch. PCIe 5 Support: Being PCIe 5 compatible is a forward-thinking feature. While I don't have a PCIe 5 motherboard yet, I appreciate that this power supply is ready for future technology. ATX 3.0 Compliance: The ATX 3.0 specification ensures compatibility with modern motherboards, and I had no issues with installation. In conclusion, the MSI MPG A1000G PCIe 5 Gaming Power Supply is a fantastic addition to any gaming rig. It combines top-tier performance, quiet operation, and a sleek design. It's a bit on the pricey side, but the peace of mind and reliability it offers make it worth every penny. If you're serious about your gaming setup, this power supply should be at the top of your list. Highly recommended! ... show more

  • Great PSU
Size: 850W Style: MPG A850G PCIE5
If you are courting a system with overclocked DDR5 and 200-225 watt video card, you'll love this PSU. A few days later I bought an "A850GL" and it got confusing to me how the models are different (A850GL vs A850G). MSI doesn’t do a very good job of explaining the two units, I think it has to do with capacitor construction or sourcing internal components. In any case, these are 80 plus gold and rated single rail. Use only the cables you need with modular cables, but know there is an 12VHPWR plug so you don't need the splitter adapter in the Nidia box! The cable can draw up to 600 watts (don't do it tho ). It directly plugs into the card with a yellow plastic male pins. This is so you know if yellow is showing you need to press harder. The fan is quiet and no problems. ... show more

  • Powerful
Size: 850W Style: MPG A850G PCIE5
MSI MPG A850G PCIE 5 It combines top tier A performance, quiet operation, and a sleek design. The peace of mind and reliability it offers make it worth every penny. If you're serious about your gaming setup, this power supply should be at the top of your list. This PSU pairs great with my MSI Z690-A motherboard. The 850 provides more than enough power to my graphics card (3080) and CPU (12900k), even while overclocking. This PSU easily fits inside a midsize tower and runs very quietly. Highly recommended! ... show more

  • Powerful, quiet, with a 10 year warranty!
Size: 1000W Style: MPG A1000G PCIE5
MSI makes quality stuff. My old PC, now 10 years old, has MSI parts that have never failed, so I got even more MSI parts this time around. This PSU has more power than I currently need. I probably could've done an 850. It is very quiet - at least, I can't hear it above the quiet hum of my giant 200mm fans. And this unit has a 10 year warranty. That is the best in the industry, I believe. I like that it is fully modular, so only the cables I need are plugged in. Full disclosure: I made a build mistake and thought I got a defective unit, so did a refund with Amazon before I did a bench test of this PSU, found it worked fine, and then rehooked it up to my PC. The new unit is the one I'll be sending back to Amazon, unopened, because the first one was fine. The only thing I can think of is that, although I checked every cable three times, the power switch connector may not have been fully seated on my MoBo. My case has this weird tiny box around all of those small molex connectors for power, reset, etc. which bundles them together, making them easier to attach to the MoBo, but each one can move a bit inside that box. So it was possible that while the box itself was all the way down when I checked, that the power switch's molex connector was not. Anyway, once that I figured that out, everything has been great. ... show more

  • Works good
Size: 850W Style: MPG A850G PCIE5
I like the futureproofing with the ATX 3.0 standard being implemented and dedicated graphics card plug. I also like that it is fully modular as I only need 3 wires and so it keeps my build very clean looking. The nylon bag is a nice to have to keep the extra wires for future use. It's actually a nice-looking PSU as well. The only con which others have stated, is the stiffness of the wires, the good thing is you one deal with that once. ... show more

  • A great power supply with confusing instructions
Size: 850W Style: MPG A850G PCIE5
This is a great gaming PC power supply that has some confusing photos in the instructions. Once you figure out that the pictures in the instructions are not representative of the cables in your hands, it becomes much easier to connect everything properly. Overall no hardware complaints but one star removed for confusing instructions. ... show more

  • First Time With MSI Was A Good One
Size: 850W Style: MPG A850G PCIE5
I bought a Thermaltake 1050w PSU that came in dead. No life. No lights. Nothing. Bought this one from MSI, it came overnight, I went through the usual headache process of installing any PSU unit, which is not this one's fault it's all PSU units are a pain when routing a full tower server / workstation PC (yours will be much easier I promise) and it works. PSUs are kind of a it works or it doesn't thing. It turned on the system, all the parts work, booted up fine, no glitches or issues, completely silent. No complaints at all. ... show more

  • Worth the price
Size: 1000W Style: MPG A1000G PCIE5
I won't waste your time, it plain and simply is a very sturdy and high quality fully modular power supply. There is a healthy amount of cables to choose from included inside of a very nice carrying bag for said cables. The overall build quality and unboxing experience of this power supply was everything I could have hoped for at this price point. ... show more
