These power supplies are top notch and a great upgrade over my old semi modular set up. The single gpu graphics connection 12v2x6 makes things easy and for a clean set up, if you decide to use it. 850 watts is perfect for my 7800xt gpu and ryzen 7 7700x . The modular flat cables def help with keeping things clutter free. Power supply stays cool and silent with a 0 rpm mode which can be turned off. The overall size of the unit itself is very compact and light weight compared to some others units. There no rub or lights on this unit , but does have a very sleek silver MPG design on the side. I love the compact size of the PSU. So far I have not have not have any trouble with the flat cables just the sleeved one... Idk why they couldn't they all be be flat and have cable visible. Running cable clips and make it clean looks better then some black sleeved cable. I do give them props for no mustard and ketchup endeds any where. My little bit older psu 750x had them and it drove me crazy. But overall the a850g PSU from MSI is a great overall pick. ... show more

I got this because my computer was randomly shutting off when gaming and after researching I determined it was most likely due to the PSU not delivering adequate power to the GPU. I installed this and have not had it happen since. This has the new PCIe 5.0 power connector which is also backwards compatible with legacy connections so this PSU is future proofed for the foreseeable future. It does have a quiet mode button on it if the fan bothers you, but I'd rather my components stay cool personally so I don't use that. ... show more

Why do I say it looks great, you might ask? Well, because it is modular. I only need to have the cables I need and I don't have to hide all the excess. That makes this a great PSU for any clean build.

Had a Corsair 850 bronze before this and it was the minimum requirement for the 3090 TI Suprim. It worked very well for about a year then i slightly overclocked the cpu outside of the easy bios overclock and it just wasn't enough. Thankfully it was a good Corsair PSU so it just turned off power to the whole system instead of frying my rig. Put this beautiful PSU in and everything is working like a dream it all even feels a bit snappier even if its just a placebo. The old PSU is now powering a separate rig with much lower power draws. I'm only a few weeks into having this but so far so good. Will try to update if anything changes or just after i've long term tested it but so far i'm very pleased. ... show more

The modularity makes this PSU very convenient and I don't know how I would have wired up my PC if I had like 20 cables that I didn't need just sitting in the back. Also, the cable quality of the included cables is great; they come with a little bag that you can put the extras into and are decently flexible but not super loose to the point that they just sag (especially important with the GPU cable). You could also buy custom cables but these work just fine. I don't know the stability of the power delivery of this psu but I haven't had a single issue with it so far, so I never really bothered to check. One thing to note, it's a pretty tight fit for my case but I'm pretty sure that's the case's fault and not the psu's, so just make sure it's compatible with the psu slot in your case. (mine is dual-chambered so it had to fit vertically). Overall great PSU, would recommend it. ... show more

Really good bang for the buck for a 1000w psu. I had an issue where one of the motherboard connectors was not all the way in so it was my fault but before I discovered that I went to warranty it through msi and they wouldn’t honor it since I bought it through Amazon just an fyi
