  • Works Great
Love this board.

  • Great Mobo
This is one of the nicest motherboards I've seen. Almost everything you could really want, unless you want really extreme overclocking, or extreme top end. I am a Gigabyte fan myself, so for MSI to impress me says something. Well worth looking at to see if it meets your build needs.

  • Easy auto overclock.
I paired this with an i9 11900k and with one click in the bios it over clocked to 5.1 ghz. Super stable so far. Board looks pretty nice and seems really sturdy. I migrated from an ROG Z590 to this . I had to much stability issues with over clocking/xmp with the ROG board. Very happy with the Z590 MEG. ... show more

  • Overpriced and not worth it
This thing is buggy and consumes far too much power. It consumes 60 more watts in the cpu package power under an all core load compared to another board, running the same comet lake cpu at the same frequency and voltage. Then, on the latest bioses for rocket lake, this thing can’t even hold a sustained 5.0 GHz all-core overclock in cinebench for example. It keeps down clocking back to 4.6 GHz, against the settings enabled in the bios. Disabling TVB clipping doesn’t work. Gigabyte doesn’t do this. $500.00 for a motherboard that doesn’t hold the overclock? Cheaper boards do it properly, so what’s the point of this? Also, the thunderbolt ports have a mini-DisplayPort in for routing video which is nice. But msi didn’t hook up an internal mechanism to pipe the igpu over thunderbolt. Gigabyte vision d does this. Therefore, if you want to use igpu video with thunderbolt, you have to first get a hdmi to MiniDisplayPort cable and route the onboard hdmi output into the thunderbolt controller’s minidisplayport input. On gigabyte, if the system doesn’t detect a DisplayPort input, it automatically routes igpu video over thunderbolt, so no need for the clunky solution of MSI. Also, to install mystic light to control the rgb, you have download a bunch of bloatware. It took several iterations of installing/uninstalling for mystic light to install, which was frustrating. Also, Rgb doesn’t appear to light up if the system is in standby mode, but gigabyte and asus have this feature. Overall, this motherboard is overpriced, the latest bioses are buggy with respect to rocket lake, it forces the cpu to consume far too much power (compared to other motherboards), and the thunderbolt feature while it appears fine is a bit clunky. Also, z590 is dead platform, no more future intel cpus for z590. Alder lake is coming and will be in a completely different socket and shape (LGA1700 vs LGA1200). So if you buy this board, do so knowing that you won’t be able to install future cpus into it. (Unless Intel changes course). ... show more

  • Bad bios. Msi z590 ace
The motherboard bios is bad loader windows fine but trying to do things in bios to change setting it dosnt work slows down in settings menú. Maybe if I download bios over Internet and reinstall it might work. But bios isn't working right.
