    I purchased a Portable Buddy about 10 years ago and it recently died. I liked it so well that I purchased another one. It lights easily and lasts a surprisingly long time on one bottle of fuel. It kicks out a good amount of heat and does not smell. It has two heat settings and it would be nice if there were more adjustments but two is sufficient. I use it in a 25' camper and it really takes the chill off but it isn't enough to heat the whole thing if the outside temp is around freezing. In my view it is effective, safe, and reasonably priced. I suggest getting an adapter to fill you 1lb bottles from a larger propane tank. ... show more

      • Good heater.
    Works great. Preferred the old model with a simple burner on top of a cylinder but could not find it. Probably outlawed it or something because it was too simple and no safety gadgets. Kinda hard to pack around hunting. You have to place it in your stand before hunting day.

    I love this little heater. We've struggled to find an easy-to-use, reliable little propane tank heater, and this is the best one we've tried by far. It has lit quickly and consistently everytime I've tried it so far, unlike other brands we've tried this season. I'm very impressed with this unit, especially for the price.
