I have had this for a few weeks now and it is great. it feels nice and comfortable... it will depend on if you like firm beds or not, this is more on the soft side but has a sturdy firmness to it, think of a Pillowtop bed. I just bought the mattress, but will buy a frame on it soon. I give this 5 starts, but the packaging 0 stars.... it looked like it had been shipped form here to Iceland and back several hundred times, and was literally busting out at the seams.... my one and only negative thing about this is the packaging.... would it kill the shipper to invest in a sturdier shipping box? ... show more

Thee most COMFORTABLE mattress, it's more comfy than the mattress on my bed. The only bad thing is it had a weird odor that was hard to get out I used febreze couple times a day. But I still would recommend it for the size & how comfortable it is.

Some threading had to be cut off and has a funky smell. Smell did go away - also while shaking out the mattress a dust was noticed- not sure what that’s about. I bought the 10 inch ... I have 8 inches at best. I have so many aches in my back and my sides after using this for week it’s pretty horrible. I’m 34 and I like firm mattresses but this is hard on the body. Very hard to bend into the couch position while on a frame. Basically have to remove the mattress first then place on the frame (bought frame separately from somewhere else - not sure this matters) I will probably have to invest in a mattress topper but this was supposed to be able to use as both couch and bed and it’s looking like it’s good for neither. Too thick for couch and too uncomfortable for bed. Lots of regrets with this purchase. ... show more

I purchased this mattress in 2012 and have been sleeping on it nightly since 2014. It was reasonably comfortable initially, but it never did puff up to a full 10". Only about 8" or so. Having slept on it for several years now, it has sunk significantly in the middle and is no longer terribly comfortable. I have purchased a topper as a temporary solution but I will be replacing it soon. As a sofa, I always enjoyed it. As a bed, it's definitely best just for intermittent use and definitely not your every night mattress. ... show more

In terms of comfort, this mattress is fantastic. The mattress is plush, and the fabric is durable, yet not abrasive. As the packaging information suggests, the item comes vacuum-packed and does take a few days to completely fluff back up. The only issue I had with this product was the factory dust that seemed to be completely saturating the mattress. I didn't realize this until after I unpackaged it in my dorm room on the ninth floor of my building, and I had no place to take it to beat the dust out of it. The mattress smells like chemicals at first, but that quickly fades. A fitted sheet that goes around the entire mattress fixed the issue of the dust, and also adds a layer of protection from shredded skin and spills if this futon is slept on or used heavily. ... show more

Wonderful futon mattress. I went ahead and let it puff out for a couple days as some others reviewers had stated. Seems fairly durable, it's comfortable, and overall a great value for $180. Very satisfied!

We found the mattress to be too soft due to which me and my wife were not at all comfortable sleeping on it. My wife needs a firm mattress to sleep as she has a back problem. Hence we had no option but to return it. The return process was really smooth though. Amazon CR told us try to our best to pack it as best as we can and not fret too much about it.
