I’d buy again and recommend. It turns your phone/gimble rig into a low cost pro interview rig. Only thing is sometimes the power to turn it on is hard. Retrying multiple times and swapping batteries constantly. But I did buy the used one. So maybe that’s why.

    • Fantastic audio for Any video project at an affordable price
This little lapel mic is a fantastic piece of equipment for any amateur Videographer or content creator! Before this I had to come up with a bunch of convoluted ways to get great audio recorded directly with my phone, and had to spend time (although not much time) syncing all my vocal audio in post. With this little guy I just plug it in to my phone, record what I need to, and that’s it! No messing around with it in post. It has made my life a million times easier when it comes to creating my videos for social media, and YouTube! The sound quality is great! It’s not the best you will ever hear, but is very doable and with a little work in sound editing you can get a near professional quality sound. I am a tough reviewer. Very close to 5 Stars. Batteries are a pain - and opening the case to replace them is not easy. feel like I am going to break the case. Otherize you would have a 5 stars.

Cool set-up for good audio. Now I am "downsizing" to i-phone video. The lavalier mic is decent. I have put it against re-16, re-10, re-20, sm-57, nt-1, e-100 with pres and the lavalier will do fine without the extra baggage. I have used zoom h-4s audio for video, but this may replace that as well. Another transmitter in the future for stereo. Don't want to use the phone without it and gimbal.     • BEFORE YOU BUY THIS YOU NEED TO KNOW SOME THINGS
I had seen some awesome reviews about this and considering it has a HUGE range I thought “this would be perfect” because you can also change out the lavalier mic so you can even technically “upgrade” your recording quality in the future. This is where the problems are though and please read through ALL of this before wasting your time and money and mental sanity. 1st - they do not always connect to your iPhone. Sometimes these devices will connect and your sound will come in but mine just decided to stop working without any heavy use. I clipped it on and hooked it up and within 10 minutes it stopped working. Later on I found that the audio was still coming in but it was not being pushed through to the phone. There’s an input to connect headphones and listen to the audio as it’s coming in and this is where the second problem was. 2nd - The audio that DOES come through WHEN it is working is subject to a LOT of interference. I continuously heard sounds like it was looking for a radio signal… WHILE I WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE WOODS. There’s no towers near me and this thing is buzzing like a bee but even faint buzzing can be fixed with a decent audio editing software but it can’t edit out the 3rd problem. 3rd - THERE IS A LOUD OBNOXIOUS POPPING NOISE COMING THROUGH EVERY 1 TO 2 SECONDS. ITS LIKE SOMEONE IS FLICKING THE MIC OVER AND OVER. I used to record music and had my own home recording studio, I understand audio VERY well and this is one of those devices that is absolutely worthless along with the customer service. I called nearly a dozen times and nobody answers. Before this I purchased a cheap $50 wireless mic that is 100% wireless and the only reason I stopped using it was because my cats are insane and ate it (they’re fine btw). I wish I had taken better care of that little mic because it’s 1/3 the price of this garbage but has 10 times more value. DO THE RIGHT THING AND PICK A DIFFERENT BRAND. ... show more
