I have each style Mounting Dream somewhere in my home. Model MD2285-LA Full-Motion mount costs more, but it should be the only mount I installed. It has five lag bolts instead of 4. It has captive straps on the vertical VESA mounts. It has a long wing beam on the tilt adjust. It extends to view the TV at 90-degrees.     • Strong and Stable Even Extended with Large Television

I bought this mount in order to save a custom cabinet I built 20 years ago. That cabinet was built to perfectly accommodate a 55" DLP HDTV at the time. When it died, another 55" tv went inside, this time a flat panel on it's "feet". Absolutely no 60" could ever fit inside, only a 59", and no one has made that size in years. It looked like it was 55" again, but damn I wanted an upgrade, so I bought this mount to bolt (with serious new bracing) inside the cabinet and suspend a 65" OLED TV outside the cabinet. This only looks acceptable because the screen is 6mm thick and the cabinet is slighly wider than the TV. So this mount is under load 24/7, and despite that paper-think screen, the TV is still quite heavy. There isn't a big selection of extra-long arm mounts which also accommodate this size and weight, unless you spend a lot more. The design of this mount makes it possible, with a pair of large/tall rectangular articulating arms. This shape is vertically stiff making it's capabilities possible. Additionally, the stress on the joints is minimized which allows for smooth artciulation. And of course, it's horizontal sliding mount fixed on the TV allows for precise centering the arm positioning may not otherwise accomodate. It's a great value because good design means a product doesn't need to be overengineered and overbuilt which is what leads to higher cost. Best advice is to never push the boundaries of weight tolerances on mounts. ... show more

This TV mount solved so many problems for us and was surprisingly easy to install. We're using it with a 65" and it works flawlessly. Installation took maybe all of 20 minutes, mostly because we already had the holes drilled from a different mount that wasn't working for us. Setup was a breeze. Highly recommend!     • Holds well and turns/swivels easier than some
I'm using it to hold up a heavy large tv and it is much easier to move and swivel than other mounts I've used. It's very sturdy and everything I wanted.

Please see the tiny supports provided by manufacturer. These are totally inadequate. I had a spare tv mount( first photo). This mount was much stronger and spanned the 16” between studs. Delivery, packaging, operating controls, product were appropriate. Proper mounting bracket would earn a five star rating ... show more

    • Rock solid mount with excellent articulation and reach
This mount was easy to assemble and install. It took me about 45 minutes. Once I had the mount screwed to the wall, I extended it the entire length from the wall and pulled down on it HARD to test it. It is incredibly solid. After installing the TV, I had to loosen a few of the nuts on the arm to make it move more easily (better than being too loose for sure) but then it was perfect. I pulled it all the way out and bumped the TV to see how stable it was. The thing barely moved. This mount allows me to move my 55" TV from above the fireplace to the corner of the room next to the mantle at a 45 degree angle so I can watch from the kitchen while I am cooking. Do you know how much better Wheel of Fortune is when you can SEE the puzzles? 90% better at least. ... show more

    • If your required range of motion includes 180 degrees of screen rotation
As shipped, all hinge bolts were set at max torque - probably to maximize stability. My clients are elders who constantly change screen viewing position - swinging the screen a full 180 degrees multiple times per day. In preparation for their use, I disassembled all pivot points and lubricated them, retorquing to a minimum that would still provide adequate stability for the screen. This is a very sturdy mount and it's also very stiff when moving the tv around wich I like. Super easy to install if you know what your doing. I don't understand why installers were complaining on the reviews,it took me 25 mins to mount and hang my TV and adjust it to my liking,As for the instructions I didn't read them so I couldn't tell you about that it comes in 3 pieces very simple to figure out without instructions if you have ever previously mounted a tv. Over all great mount well worth the extra$$$ for the functionality and peace of mind with how sturdy this thing is. ... show more
