I purchased this radio after buying a similar model that I was NOT impressed with. That radio had a horrible hum and was terrible to navigate. THIS RADIO SOUNDS AMAZING! Has a built in DSP and the EQ is awesome! Sounds great in my son's 99 Mustang. Factory speakers need to be replaced, but still sound good. Definitely DO NOT recommend! UPDATE: Installed first radio. Aftter 1 time of unplugging the RCA Jack in the back, the connector broke off the radio! That should have been my first clue. Contacted Seller multiple times with no reply. Finally a week and a half later I get a response. BTW this had already been past my return window. At this time, I decided to order another one to see if maybe it was just a one time thing. Got the new one yesterday, installed it....buttons don't work, screen doesn't open...1 thing after another. In conclusion...Let my situation deter you from buying this. ... show more

The volume of the unit is pretty low. I have to manually connect to Bluetooth every time I turn the system on. I can't figure out if there is a way to turn off the annoying flashing bars on the display. They're very distracting while driving. The motorized screen works well however.

I had only been using the stereo for a couple of months when it started acting up. The screen wouldn’t flip up and the radio would just randomly quit working. I couldn’t return the item because it was past the window to return. So I left a review instead with what I just mentioned above. The company messaged me later and offered to make it right by sending me another one at no charge. I was quite impressed that they reached out and wanted to make things right. Update: Like other reviewers, I have been experiencing a pretty bad sound break-up problem when I turn the volume up on this head unit. My Bronco is a little loud due to having a soft-top and in order to hear my music, I have to turn this up to 2/3rds volume where the lows and highs really start to break up. I'm considering adding an amp to this head unit just to get away from this issue. Update again: I'm now getting distortion at 1/3 volume, this is just unacceptable. I also just had my first extended drive at night with this HU, screen is too bright and I can't find any setting to dim it further. It also does not set AA to night mode, further aggravating the glare issue. I just installed this headunit in my 1993 Bronco and so far I'm impressed! Button fitment and finish is pretty nice, and on par with most name brand headunits. Menus are easy to navigate and the buttons are well laid out and also easy to navigate. Overall appearance is somewhat retro so it fits in with the appearance of most 80's and 90's vehicles. Pros: Excellent price for the functions/capability Android Auto On board battery for memory! Still has the AM band Bright screen Comes with a backup camera Cons: Minimal instructions, but you don't really need them Audio distorts way too early in in the volume scale. No way to level audio between BT, Radio, Android Auto. Gloss screen reflects pretty badly, but you can overlay an iPad screen protector Mounting depth was a little low and my dash interfered with the screen opening. This was remedied by using a Metra 89-30-3900 between the mounting bracket and my dash. I like most of the hardware, just the absence of settings and distortion kill this radio for me. Update: I now have a little time with this head unit and have 1 complaint and 2 recommendations. Complaint: At above 3/4 of total volume the audio breaks up badly. Unfortunately my vehicle is a convertible and needs a better volume scale. The radio issue is degrading, I now get distortion above 1/3 volume. Suggestions: Due to the need of a spacer to clear my dash the mounting cage doesn't have enough "bite" to keep the radio steady. I ended up cutting it so I could use the back of the cage to secure the radio. Since this radio is typically installed in older vehicles, maybe they could install a mounting stud on the back for those vehicles that have this option. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I spent an hour wiring this pos up the right way and it worked for a few days then took a crap on me. Installed in 95 m3 and when Bluetooth function comes on it restarts itself. Happend once or twice but now I can't get into Bluetooth without it restarting.. This is the second one I've ordered too. Now I need to either re do wiring and go with another company or wait another 2 weeks for refund then order another one unless I want to pay out of pocket rn. Will not send another replacement out.. ... show more
