Many of the other reviews state the inside mounting is easy. It essentially works by a tension spring that hold the shade up by pushing outward (in a lateral direction) against the drywall. I found the spring to be pretty weak, and the blinds would fall down within a few days. The set screw didn't really help much. If the blinds included better a "inside" mounting solution (ie, brackets that could be screwed into the drywall or window header), I'd rate these much higher. Worked great and was impressive initially. I bought 4 and one of them started getting slow around a month and a half and then reverse on its own randomly. The media could not be loaded. These motorized shades are awesome. Configuring the setup took a little time to figure out, but eventually worked fine.
