I bought this set of 3 motion lights to use in our pantry. When I first put the brand new batteries into each of these, they came on and stayed on for at least 15 seconds. However, after they initially turned off, only one would come again when I waved my hand in front of it. The other two would only turn on again when I removed the batteries and replaced them again. I tried several times in regular light and in a dark space, and the results were the same regardless of the location. The only light that came on again was also defective, because it would turn on immediately after turning off in the pantry. With the light mounted in the pantry, I closed the door and waited 15 seconds, and the light would go off for a partial second before turning on again. This repeated for a few minutes, and I finally determined that it was not working properly. I decided to return the lights instead of exchanging them, because I'm not certain that the quality control is very effective. I am leaving a 2 star review because the lights are bright, and they were effective at lighting a small pantry sufficiently. Instead of trying again with another set of lights that may or may not be defective, I decided to go with a different brand with a touch switch instead. ********** Updated review: The seller contacted me after I returned the lights and left an honest 2 star product review. They sent me a complimentary set even though I was refunded the original purchase price, so I just put the batteries in and tried them out. All three lights work exactly as described. I used a screw to act as a magnetic anchor so I could angle one in the pantry, I put one in the metal utility room door, I put one just inside the garage passage door. All three lights work well, and the motion sensor makes them incredibly convenient. The seller went out of their way to make sure I was satisfied, and I feel that I can now recommend this product to others because of the customer service provided. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. using in my travel trailer in closets and cabinets that need light. i had other puck lights but sometimes we forget to turn them off and then they the run out of batteries. i bought another set that have automatic off feature but the lights are pretty dim and the lights themselves have a large footprint. these put out a good amount of light for the cabinets and closets that I have them in. so far the motion detection has been good and great to know that they automatically shut off and don't run down the battery. ... show more

So I really like these motion sensor lights because they're just a little smarter than others that I've seen. Not only do they detect motion, but they also detect light. It makes sense that they would only light up in low light or complete dark situations. Because of this, here are a few uses I've come up with - In various places in my shed where my main lights just don't quite illuminate. This includes my tool cart in the chest style drawers - Exterior doors of the house mounted on the wall/door jamb next to the locks. This really helps me find the right key and find the key hole at night. - In my closet. I don't often turn on the bedroom light in the morning, as not to disturb my wife, so this makes it a LOT easier to find my things without creating a lot of light noise. I'm sure you'll find plenty of uses for these but I can't recommend them enough. My only note? These are not going to illuminate a large area light a lantern would. These are small puck style lights that are mountable with the included 3M 9448A Double Coated Tissue Tape discs. These would work well for utility under cabinet lights, for instance. ... show more

I was excited to have these installed for my kid's kitchen set, since it can be dark at times in the cabinets, stove, etc. I plugged 3 new Duracell AAA batteries and the light instantly went off, nice.. it shows it worked right? after placing a couple of them in different areas, I noticed a few things. - The lights flicker (2 of 3) - The motion sensor is terrible... I can try to wave and move objects in front of it... it turns on maybe 10% of the time, if that. I'm not sure how these work but I've used a lot of other motion sensors and these are by far the worst. I purchased 2 sets, all 6 function the same way, so I'm sure it's not lemons I got. They only work with the room light off, and the motion sensors can then detect movement a little better... Maybe these need to be placed in rooms/areas where there is no light. Either way, doesn't work for what I need. - Brightness is OK. Not terribly dim or super bright. If you need it for like a closet, you might need a few. These act more of a tiny spot light rather than lighting up an area. I'll be returning these to get another. If you want to use them where there is even the slightest amount of light, dont... they seem to only work if it is dark, and it's not even 100%. On to finding the next light... ... show more

I purchased these for my stairs and basement stairs. These take 3 AAA batteries and come with 3 adhesives to stick anywhere. The light they produce is strong enough to illuminate a decent area to give you the light you need. The motion sensor is pretty sensitive and will go on even when approaching from the side of the light which is perfect for how I have mine on my basement stairs. The light will stay on for about 20secs which is enough time to see where you need to go. Some may think these don't work at first if they set them up during the day but these will only go on when it is fairly dark. ... show more
