I bought this when it was on sale for around $132 total so I can say with confidence it was worth that price point. Its so bright that I actually have it running around 15% brightness majority of the time. One thing I will say before installing this, is that the adhesive for this is INSANELY STRONG, it will rip off your wall paint, if you decide to reposition it or take it off for any reason. I highly recommend having a different set of double sided adhesive on hand before installing just in case. I purchased these both (Nanoleaf and Govee) as a Christmas present. Nanoleaf makes you jump through hoops if you use iPhone. No issues with Android. I had none of these issues with Govee. Everything worked great right out of the box. And the tutorial that comes with installation is super helpful. Great color control, great light brightness and phone control. It does great with music and scenes. In the future, I'll only purchase the Govee products. ... show more

Set up was fairly easy to follow and complete. The govee app makes use simple. You can set brightness, colors, patterns all through the app. You can even use the apps AI to set a color pattern based off of a photo or description. Perfect for setting to mood and lighting to match your show.

    • Great looking lights but poor mounting system

I have lots of govee products and they are all great. This light is also great and is very bright with lots of customizable abilities. However, the adhesive that is used to mount these is horrible. Every one of the segments failed to stay on the wall. I had to remove the adhesive pads and replace them with heavy duty double sided tape. The app works great and has a nice setup guide to show you how to attach the lights. You can also layout the design you want in the app and it will show you what it will look like on your wall. This is a very nice feature. If Govee can fix the issue with their adhesive pads this light setup will be perfect. ... show more

These lights are AMAZING. The Govee app has plenty of preset lighting options/ colors but you can also customize your own. I have two sets and they are EXTREMELY bright for what they are. Definitely help lighting my living room. My only gripe is the adhesive tape they include to mount these panels to the wall leave much to be desired. I’ve had about three panels fall off and had to replace the adhesive. Overall not a big deal. Very happy with my purchase, I only wish I could buy more! ... show more

I cannot stress this enough. Please do yourself a favor and watch the instructional video before you attempt to assemble them lol. These lights are better than the nanoleaf lights I bought prior, I can light each panel a separate color and the app made designing a layout a breeze. My only complaint would be the panels are a bit too tight in the wall mount, so it pulled the adhesive right off the wall (along with some paint and a portion of the drywall). This, of course, could have been avoided if I had taken my own advice and watched the instructional video before assembling. The panels are slightly smaller than the nanoleaf brand, so I was able to fit a bigger design on my small space that I wasn't able to do with the nanoleaf panels. ... show more

    • Most frustrating purchase I've ever made

First amazon review I've ever made, but I'm so frustrated that I couldn't help it. I really regret buying this stupid product. After 2 months I've had to hang them back up about 5 or 6 times. The adhesive strips are completely useless. Perhaps a bit of the problem is that my walls have a little bit of texture to them, but my real gripe is there's no alternative mounting options... The clips that hold the little plastic removable mounting piece to the light are infinitely stronger than the adhesive. If you need to pull a light off, you're 100% of the time just going to rip the adhesive off of the wall. and then after one use, its even more useless. Once one light falls, it'll pull the rest down. Then they all get all scratched up from falling on each other and then you have all kinds of scuffs and marks on the lights that look terrible. I've even tried supergluing the stupid things to the wall. Superglued about half that fell, eventually the other half fell and when I tried to take off one of the superglued ones to unplug the connector, instead of the light coming off of the bracket, it just ripped the paint off of the wall. The bracket is attached to the light stronger than the paint is stuck to the wall. Great design, govee. It would be such a better design if the brackets weren't attached to the lights with the strength of 100 men and had a screw hole in them so you could temporarily stick the lights to the wall to set them up, then remove the lights while actually successfully leaving the brackets on the wall to screw them in permanently. I get if some people don't want to screw them in, fine, make the screw optional, but make it an option. Super frustrating. I will say though the lights are really cool. Very bright. It's just a shame that they're all scratched up now and I had to basically destroy my wall to get them to stick. I'd MUCH rather have a little screw hole to fill than a paint chip to deal with. The media could not be loaded. Nothing to dislike, the product is awesome and looks beautiful. The initial installation was a bit confusing. You choose a pattern on the app first and install, but because u have one main port for one block and your suppose to connect to the right portal number for the next block(as instructed on the app). Problem is when the number portal your suppose to connect to contradicts the location of the previous plug, making it impossible to connect to the next one. BUT, good news is it doesn’t really matter which number port u plug ur next block into, at the end you can just calibrate within the app. And everything will work fine, cheers ... show more
