  • Wow What a Great Grill
Style: Red Grill
Exceeds expectations. Visible quality, easy to assemble. And noticing the first thing out of the box - the lovely red color is much prettier than the pictures. The red is a complex color, not "primary red", it has a satin finish rather than a glossy finish, its really classy looking. Side burners, the main burners, the thermomater, the view window, the searing side burning, its all just exceptional. ... show more

  • It's absolutely amazing.
Style: Green Grill
I can't say how much I love this grill. It's extremely well built. The color is so beautiful you can't stop looking at it. It was not difficult to build but did take some time. You can see the difference in quality compared to a lesser priced grill. All the ignitors work, the side burners are awesome and it's very easy to maintain. I highly recommend it. ... show more

  • The perfect balance of features and value
Style: Grill
Every griller has their preferences. So if you like charcoal or a Kamado type, no one can argue with you. I personally like them all, but this grill strikes the best balance of value, variability of cooking styles and features of any grill I've owned. The Clearview is genuinely a great idea and feature, not a gimmick. I'm really nosey when I grill, so being able to take a peek now and then without losing the heat is an amazing feature. The sear burner for some reverse searing action is, again, an amazing feature I use every time I cook steaks. It's a must and it allows me and a thermometer to have perfectly cooked steaks to any specification a guest requests. The side burner is obviously great to warm up some sides. I'd suggest a cast iron griddle plate and then you can bang out amazing breakfasts as well. The light up knobs are indeed useful at night but if you often grill late, pick up a little clip-on light so you can see the meats well when you open the hood. Clean up is quite easy and I like the angled tray that allows you to run all of that into the tray or bucket. The only quibble I had with this grill was assembly and shipment, but that had zero to do with it's function. First, if you have big hands, trying to screw on the sear and side burner portions is a pain... Literally. The steel have sharp edges under there where you have to get your screwdriver. I lost some blood putting this thing together. Second, unfortunately, despite the packaging seemingly being very well done, the lower left front part of my grill face was dented. Again, neither of these things affected in any way the usage and general awesomeness of the grill. I doubt you can find a better bang-for-your-buck grill anywhere. Because I looked long and hard and I couldn't! ... show more

  • Difficult to build, but works very well when completed
Style: Blue Grill
Well, first off, if Amazon drops the *enormously* heavy box off in front of your house, you’re going to have to completely deconstruct the packaging so that you can actually get the grill components into your yard or home. Note: there are several packages inside of the fire box, so cut the straps and open this up before you attempt to move it. The difficult part of the build is getting the propane hoses into place, particularly on the left side, where it has to bend at a completely unnatural angle to accommodate the burner and connect to the knob (my knob wound up crooked after several tries, but I finally got it to be somewhat straight in the end). Be very, very careful with the screws because if you lose one - as I did, when it fell between the boards on my deck - you’ll have to go to a hardware store and attempt to find a replacement. Put a towel or tarp around your work area so that fallen screws don’t go missing. When I finally finished the construction of the grill, I did notice that the two side burners were slightly canted downwards, which is somewhat unattractive. I’ve gone through the instructions and they’re built exactly as the instructions require. It’s just the way it is (although not on their photographs) - same for a friend who bought this same model. My blue model is pretty attractive, and the burners light up beautifully (some people don’t seem to understand that you must hold the ignition button while turning the knobs - the printed language on the front of the grill does *not* make this clear). And, boy, does it heat up quickly. A plus, in my mind. Do NOT touch the glass window for any reason when the grill is on and the cover is closed, because it’s conducting all of that heat. You *will* be burned. I accidentally did this and wound up putting my hand in an ice bath to prevent blistering. As for grilling, everything cooks evenly and well - and the grates are fairly easy to clean if you use top heat with the grill closed to turn any bits of food to ash. Easy to scrub with a wire brush after it’s cooled down. The build quality seems to be equal to many top brands, and I very much like the matte finish of the blue panels. One thing I wish it had is a propane tank weight, as the Weber does (maybe that’s patented?), so that you know how much propane is left in the tank. Anyway, the grill works very well and looks great. The price is far below Weber pricing for a similar model, so if I wind up not liking it in a couple of years, I can go with something else. ... show more

  • Great Grill
Style: Red Grill
Bought this as a gift for my husband. Came packaged very securely with all parts. Definitely high quality. The LED lighting on the knobs is gorgeous. Love the searing feature and additional burner. The red color is stunning. Even heat distribution.

  • Love my Monument grill!
Style: Green Grill
This company’s grill was highly recommended when we were in a certain store. When I was looking online I saw it came in this gorgeous aqua color. It was fairly easy to put together, just a couple tight spots to get your hands in, but not bad at all. Just made hotdogs on it right now to see how it works. Everything works well and I love that it has removable drip trays. Thank you monument for a beautiful, well-functioning grill! ... show more

  • Glass on top shattered after a year
Style: Grill
The grill took a long time to assemble and the automatic electric starting feature never worked from day 1, despite me triple-checking the instructions, wiring, etc.. However, I could manually start it ok by pushing the starter/spark button and so I was pretty happy with it for the first year (four stars). After about six months the thermometer stop working correctly. Ok, I could get along without that, but lame (three stars). Then, one day I left it on accidentally for a couple of hours and the glass shattered. There's no way that the unit should fail like that after a few hours of heating -- or any number of hours for that matter (one star). ... show more
