  • Cheap, reliable, accurate
Color: Black
I lucking fove this scope. It’s not HD glass it’s not a match shooter optic. However it tracks at high magnification the edges get a little cloudy, but I can ding metal at 1000 all day. I have a stock Remington 700 270 I glass bedded and tweaked the trigger. scope and all I’m at $650. I can be competitive with optics that cost 4X my whole setup. If you want to get in the long range game on a budget. This is the way to go. I would have used a 6.5 but I use my rifle to hunt with as well and that 270 has the punch I need for big game without shoulder issues. I would love to see what this optic could do with a better ballistics coefficient. As far as toughness I fell climbing over a downed tree and landed on my rifle. I banged the scope pretty good. I left the woods went straight to the range. First 100yd group with a cold bore was 1MOA second group was sub 3/4 minute. I should have hunted. I have more faith in it now. ... show more

  • After six months, absolutely thrilled!
Color: Black
This is one of the most undervalued scopes I've ever bought. I used one on a friend's rifle and was impressed. The focal plane magnification made a huge difference over 300 yards; the optics or surprisingly crisp; and the battery life is surprising. Zero doesn't migrate with repeated .308 heavy loads. I couldn't be more pleased! ... show more

  • Great value for the money.
Color: Black
Overall, the Monstrum G2 6-24x50 scope is a great scope for the money. Decent packaging, supplied scope rings ( Perfect fit on my Diamondback) and fitted pop up glass covers. Glass clarity is very good and I had no mirage or out of focus viewing. The paralax adjustment is spot on for the given values. I only tested out to 300 yards so far. the eye relief is perfect for my Diamonback AR and is just about 2.75". the viewing window is reletively narrow and leaves little margin for movement while on target but when my cheek to stock weld is set, the picture is very clear. I zeroed at 50 yards and the MOA adjustments were true within2% of value. After zero, I did a box test at 100yds. Vertical MOA adjustments up to 20 MOA averaged .27" inches of targeted impact.. Windage MOA adjustments up to 18 MOA averaged .23". The scope would be more accurate with 1/8 MOA adjustments but I'm confident with using these results out to 300 yards. Beyond that, holdover calculations would be needed . The turrets were tactile but mushy and from the factory, there is no audible click but you can feel the clicks. The turret value line and the base line are about 1/2 MOA out of sync so they don't quite line up exactly but they are close enough. After zero (these turrets do not lock and there is no zero stop) I removed the turrets and set them to zero. I did clean out the factory grease which is heavy, and replaced with a silicone based lubricant and there is a more audible click but still not anywhere near my SIG Tango 6 or Bushnell Forge. This will make a good range/plinking scope or even hunting scope, but I would not consider using it for precision shooting however, for the money, it is an impressive well built scope. ... show more

  • Great weapon scope
Color: Black
I have 3 of these on weapons and they all work perfectly for me. I've had no problems with them. I would recommend any of them.

  • You get what you pay for - sorta
Color: Black
Bought the scope thinking the value would be good with a full understanding I would need to spend more to get more. This scope checked all the right boxes for me based on the listing. The actual real world result was disappointing though. Let me start by saying I have a Vortex Venom 5-25x50 to compare it to. The Venom is more than 2x the price, but in comparing... the Venom isnt worth the price and I will explain. Glass- The clarity on the Monstrum is good, not the best, but good. The Vortex is great. Zoom- At the same zoom the Monstrum is NOT a true 25x, more like 20x. Its that or Vortex under rates their zoom (says its 25 but its really 32) - yeah, no. Eye relief- It is not 4-4/5 inches on the Monstrum. Its closer to 3-3.5, much like the Venom. Fit/Finish/Style- All good or great. Hard to get it wrong and the Venom was the same. FFP- Yeap. This was FFP but with a horrible dot instead of a crosshair for center. Overall I would say it was worth the $199 price and it made the Venom look like a terrible buy, but Monstrum still has some things to fix - namely the zoom and crosshair. Would I buy it again, NO. I would look for other options like a 18x Vortex, Burris, or other with true ratings. I would also look for something with a crosshair T, not a dot covering the target. ... show more

  • Great scope!! tracks well!!
Color: Flat Dark Earth
This monstrum scope was a good purchase the only thing that I can find wrong with the scope is that the clicks on the turrets need to be more audible! You can't hear it click so you have to feel it!! And this is a gen 2 the gen 3 turrets are more audible and they lock the turrets on this Gen 2 do not lock but have not had an effect on my groups! ... show more

  • Accurate and robust
Color: Flat Dark Earth
For the price and life time warranty that comes from the manufacturer, it is more than worth the money. Awesome addition.
