    • Doesn't fit tightly into the mount for a 1st gen Mazda 3
I got this based on the Monroe name. I'll do a little more homework next time. I have two criticisms of this product: 1) The yellow foam part does not fit tightly into the mount for my 2006 Mazda 3 like the OEM boot does. To prevent it from slipping downward during normal driving, I applied a silicone bead about a half inch from the top before inserting it into the mount. I then ran another bead along it at the bottom of the mount once fully inserted. 2) The black dust cover is not as long as the OEM part. I think it will work well enough for my application, but I wouldn't get it again. When it's time to replace the other side, I think I'll get a KYB SB125 - Strut Boot, amazon.com/dp/B001FY56T0 That looks a lot more like the OEM part--which you cannot even get separately from Mazda. ... show more

    • One of the better designed boot kits on the market.
This is going to be installed on a MK4 Golf. The bumpstop part of the unit is long and would fit the strut shaft well and the accordion style dust boot works better than the hard cylinder type at keeping debris out of the shaft seal
