  • Works as Described
2000 Silverado 4x4 short bed; One of the rear shocks developed a leak and I bought replacement Delco's. The ride suffered immediately as they were too stiff. This is primarily our second car, not a work truck. After tolerating this for 20k miles I did some on-line searching and this Monroe sounded good. I'm pleased to say it is good. There is that little bit of low (slow, soft) motion shock action at ride height. Consequently little bumps and bad roads are much smoother. This is still a truck shock; no doubt about that. However the unloaded ride is comfortable enough. Not bad for a short bed, as they are choppy anyhow. ... show more

  • Good stock replacement
Good stock replacement product. I had 125,000 on the stock shocks (Billstein) and felt it was time to replace them. I wanted a smooth stock ride, so decided on these Monroe OESpectrum shocks. Install was easy, ride seems good, it's a truck (2005 Silverado 4x4 crew cab 1500), so I can't expect it to be great, but these shocks seem to do the trick well. ... show more

  • Monroe Sensa- trac shocks
These Monroe Sensa- Trac shocks provide a some what smooth, but at the same time controlled ride. These Sensa-Trac shocks in my opinion are great. I had a new set of Monroe Reflex Monotube shocks that I removed after only one month. On my pick up truck, the reflex monotubes were to hard on my bad back. They are not bad on the front, but to rough on the lighter weight rear of the truck. Not saying for everyone, but for me, the Sensa- Trac shocks keep the rear half of my pick up from bucking on wash board roads. ... show more

  • Got ripped off.
Only one of the two shocks actually showed up. The other box was empty. I ended up having to go to a local auto parts to get shocks. I returned the one and the other empty box, however I only got credit for one. If there was a way to give this purchase a -1 star I would.
