  • Installed perfect and worked great for getting rid of the stock Ford air ride system which had leaks. Saved a bunch of money!
I ordered from warehouse deals as most of the bad reviews were because the shocks didn't fit their vehicle. One of the shocks didn't have the hardware in the box even though it said it came with everything and was new condition. Amazon made it right and sent me out another one which included all the hardware and I returned the one missing the hardware. Shocks installed just fine on 1998 Ford Explorer. I used these to get rid of the old air ride shocks and do away with the air ride system. They seem to be a great replacement and my father said the SUV drove much smoother and straight down the road, time will be the real factor. I would say for the $33 I paid shipped that you can't beat the price compared to in store at a local auto parts store. I will update the review if they fail prematurely or anything worth noting. Happy with the purchase and seem to be the Monroe quality that I'm used to. ... show more

  • Quality Control? but good product.
The shock absorbers arrived from the vendor with one of the rubber shock tower cushions already mounted on the tower and with the lower mounting nuts/bolts missing. I notified Amazon by e-mail about the quality control problem with their vendor's product and Amazon's response was to re-order an entire new shock absorber. Amazon notified me by e-mail of the re-order and through a telephone conversation, I was informed an entire product re-order was Amazon's only solution to my problem. I went to a local hardware store, purchased two Class 8 bolts, washers, nuts for 43 cents, installed the shocks and refused the re-ordered shock absorber when it arrived. The shock absorbers function well, are priced to make a very good value. ... show more

  • Will not fit coil front spring ranger's .
After headaches these shocks fit only rangers with torsion bars. My mechanic installed and I drove only a few miles before I realized there was problems. Shocks were removed and new Monroe #37153 installed. I have contacted Monroe about this problem, they have not got back with me. These shocks were advertised to fit. I am out the cost of these shocks. I now need to pay for front wheel balancing and possibly a front end alignment and new shocks that fit. I hope they will reimburse me at the very least for the shocks which are not designed for my truck. I know it’s been more than 30 days, but this is no fault of mine. This is a costly and dangerous, and needs to be addressed now. ... show more

  • Great value for the price
These fit well and easy to install in my 1995 Explorer 4x4. My bitch is that I purchased all 4 in the same order and for some ridiculous reason the came in THREE separate shipments! This prevented me from installing them until the last box arrived. 4 days elapsed from the first shipment to the last. Go figure??? They all came from the same vender as well. They give an excellent ride however albeit firm which for a heavy vehicle is just fine. ... show more

  • Fit 2003 Ford Ranger Edge
The install was surprisingly easy for me under jack stands and using a basic socket set and a power drill and extension for the top mounting nut. These shocks really improved the front portion of my ride and handling to near factory condition. This is a great part at a great price. Total front installation time was ~1.25 hours at my apartment in the parking lot not in a garage. Save your money and change your shocks yourself! ... show more

  • Missing hardware. Not happy.
The shipping was slow and late. The shock was missing the hardware that was to be included. This item had been previously sold, used and returned, then resold to me. Not happy..

  • Great price great product
Easy to install but take the wheels off. Came with all the new hardware. No issues with insulation on a 2000 Ford Ranger
