So this is not for the average DIYer, but if you have the tools and knowledge, this is a sweet little unit at a price that simply cannot be beat. Everything is nice quality - the outdoor unit is fantastically quiet and the build quality is on par with my LG unit that cost far more. The inside unit is clean and unobtrusive. In certain low settings you cannot hear the fan at all. You can only really hear it if you kick it into "turbo" mode, but then it's really moving air, so it's worth the minor noise. The remote works well, and the kicker - it's got WIFI! The app connects easily and works really well - in fact I prefer it over the remote, which is rare... ... show more

The descriptions very subtly hides that there's no connector cable. Without it, this system is a $500 hunk of garbage. It's high SEER rating is because it uses NO electricity at all because you can't turn it on without the cable. It says it comes with an installation kit. This is a half truth at best. Don't bother!!!!! Buy a unit that comes with everything. This is a CRITICAL component. Good luck hunting down a replacement cable. ... show more
