Although the Mini4 and the new Mini4 (5) Look alike they are not.. This case addresses those differences. Old 4 case covers part of the buttons, camera and has no holes for the new microphones placement This case addresses all that with precise cutouts. i replaced my ipad mini 4 with the new ipad mini 5 over the weekend. i had the moko case for the mini 4 and just loved it. so, since the mini 5 is so new i read a lot of the reviews for the new moko case and decided that i would try it. it arrived earlier this week and i immediately put it on the mini 5. it fits perfectly and all the cut-out are in the right positions and the right size. the clear translucent back has a slight texture to it so it doesn't slip in your hands. the old case is the right size but the "up volume" button was slightly covered, therefore depressed, so i just put the mini in backwards so the buttons weren't covered while i waited for my new case to arrive. once again moko has made an excellent product. ... show more

As others have mentioned, this case's lid has a really weak magnet. Like, it might as well have been an afterthought, because it's not really strong enough at all to act as a stand for the iPad. Also, the part of the case that protects the body, the lip doesn't come up around the edges of the iPad. So if you drop it, and it lands screen down, it WILL impact the glass screen without even touching the case. I'm assuming the designer thought the lid would be protecting the screen, but it doesn't stay shut because the magnet is so weak. So it DEFINITELY won't stay closed in the event of a fall. The perfect combination to an iPad mini. This case takes seconds to equip and is so lightweight you'll hardly notice it's even there. It wakes and sleeps the iPad just like an official Apple case would. All of the edges are made of a hard plastic so you'll never have to worry about denting the corners anymore. It also serves well as a kickstand to watch movies or type essays and emails. Limited Protection: The cover keeps the glass from getting dusty and from fingerprints when it’s closed. If dropped, however, it does little protect the glass from cracking. Mine accidentally slipped out of my hands when my kids bumped into me, and it is now cracked from corner to corner 😭 Functionality: Does not ‘stand’ well on the lower angled configuration. It is manageable, but wobbles a bit. It stands well when propped up ‘taller’. I do like that it turns off when closed and on when uncovered. Color: is more of a dull pink, not bright pink as pictured (this can be expected because colors look different on various screens) Aesthetically pleasing: Adds some thickness and weight, but any protective color should, and this one keeps it very sleek and minimal. It looks professional and modern. Longevity: the outer cover is easily wiped and sanitized, however, the soft inside part that touches the screen cannot be cleaned as easily. Your best bet is to keep it as clean as you can and be careful what surfaces you let it touch. You can also take a Clorox wipe to wipe down the entire thing, and let it dry completely.
