First impressions of the Mogami Gold XLR cable, superb quality and fit. This cable has a premium look and feel that is not matched by other less expensive XLR cables you can buy. The female end fits snugly into my Rode Podmic with a solid connection as well as the male end into my Rodecaster Pro 2. The other plus is the rubber like grip which aids in connecting and disconnecting the cable from either your mic or interface. The shielding on this cable is designed to eliminate any RF interference from other electronic devices that could cause crosstalk and buzzing in the signal from mic to interface. The audio quality; I noticed a definite improvement in audio quality such as my voice sounding more natural and not electronic or artificial. Dynamic range is very good a definite improvement over other cables I have purchased. Considering I'm using the Rode Podmic with this cable it really does sound excellent. If your on the fence as to wether or not to spend a little more on a cable of this quality and price, the dividends are, your getting a high end cable that will be with you for years to come and provide superior audio quality for what you spend. ... show more

I was having some problems with other cables causing some interference with my microphone. I tried everything I could such as using buying other cables and separating any other cables from the microphone cables but nothing could remove the interference. I decided that I would try out some higher quality cables that could help with this as well as improve my audio quality. I was surprised to find that these cables resolved all of my issues and I have been using them for a while now without any of my original issues returning. I set up a new 2.1 Neumann monitoring system for my small home studio, using whatever cheap XLR cables I had in my audio bag. After the first calibration things didn't not sound great at all (I had made a couple other mistakes as well). I only need 4 cables, two from the RME BabyFace Pro interface to the sub and then two on to the KH80 near-field monitors. To me, cables were cables. So I decided to order 4 Mogami Gold Studio cables, three 6 footers and a 10 footer... 208 bucks with sales tax. How insane is that... but I figured I can always return them, it's Amazon. Plugged them in, ran up the badly calibrated system, and the improvement in sound quality shocked me. A LOT. It ain't snake oil. I went on to calibrate the system correctly as per Neumann's instructions and now it sounds incredible. Those 4 Mogami's for over 200 bucks are here to stay. It's worth it. ... show more

I had a cheap xlr cable before I didn't think a cable could make your mic sound better well I was wrong skip the cheap one just buy one of these to not have that annoying static drone noise a great quality of life purchase 👌.
