Defective item | no replacement Hello. i got this trying to make my youtube studio better. when your streaming with over 2000 people watching you need things like this.. The item was strait forward on how to install. hot in hot out.. DONE!! But after installing my light would randomly come on. i looked in the app thinking it was a setup for time.. but i was incorrect. i have 3 of the switches and only this one is having problems.. so i contacted my cuz. he is a contractor. he came over to see the problem, we found out that the switch is not working as in defective. we moved one from out of the studio to its place.. no problems... i tried to contact seller for return. but no reply.... i do love the item. i would love it to be replace so i can have a working one. but ether how hope this gives some info on the device.. they are ncie just one out of three is having problems ... show more

I have an old switch with the "no neutral wire" problem. No neutral wire runs through the box so I was looking for a solution. I tried this switch. I had no issues hooking it up. I removed the two wires hooked to the current switch and connected them to the MoesGo switch. With the lack of neutral wire, the switch wouldn't have power so you have to use the capacitor included. Once the capacitor was installed, the switch worked as expected and I was able to easily add it to the Smart Life app to control. Unfortunately, the capacitor buzzes loudly when the light is on and other lights in the house started flickering when the light was on. The other lights that started flickering weren't connected to the MoesGo switch, nor were they even on the same breaker. They were on a different circuit breaker in a different part of the house. To clarify, the other lights were LED and the flicker is most noticeable if they aren't at 100% brightness, but they are all dimmer compatible and they don't flicker when the switch isn't installed. I know other people have had issues with installation, but that part went fine for me. I did reach out to the seller but maybe something was lost in translation, but they didn't seem to understand the issue, but I believe they thought the flickering lights were connected to the switch. After going back and forth with them I finally gave up as they just didn't understand and I didn't feel like going around and around in circles about lights that are on a different circuit. IF you don't have any dimmable lights in your house and if you're trying to install a smart switch in a spot that doesn't have a neutral wire, this may work for you. My concern is that if the interference created is causing other things to go crazy in the house on other circuits, it's probably not a great solution overall. I'll have to figure out something else to make this work. ... show more

My wife and I both like the convenience of Alexa and using our wifi switches and plugs they are cool but I have a need for switches that don’t need a neutral and these seamed to fit my needs except for the fact I have sent back and received several just to get one that works. They kind of pair with Alexa. With lots of effort. I have sent them back to Amazon for exchange only to get a defective switch sent to and the process start over. The warranty is good but I don’t want to have a warranty issue I just want them to work. When the power goes out so do the switches and sometimes the reconnect and sometimes I call Amazon for help over all they can be good ... show more

Exactly as what it claimed. A bit of works (due to the size between Moes/Existing n I’m that stupid not reading the installation manual) and a bit works of connecting to WiFi but does worth it. Last thing, a kindly reminder, capacitor not installing at any one lights but the one that flashes after installation. It took me 5 min to figure out the trick … Hope it last n will update a few months down the track ... show more

I love them they are very convenient like idiots left kn lights just tell alexa to turn off the light or all lights off .They also integrated them selves over to Google home app i just had to click add , and boom done all from one single app .They are easy to install the only problem I have is they don't have an switch cover or beauty ring per say an I didn't order enough for all my light switches I missed three dang it ,just have to order more. ... show more
