    • Pretty good bang for the buck
If you're looking for a rudimentary light set look no further. Fairly easy to install even for a novice. It works better if you flush mount it however I mounted circular boxes and mounted this to it then pack the back side with duct seal. Even though the duct seal isn't U V rated I'll see how long it holds up. The only minor downside to this is the bottom is not sealed and it could potentially allow bugs to get up underneath and hover or gather on the light. That hasn't been an issue of mine yet but it could potentially be one. If it becomes an issue with me or someone else I would simply take a piece of foam rubber cut it at the angles that needs to be and then possibly glue a piece of aluminum foil on top so you could plug up the bottom hole that yet be able to remove it easily when you need to replace the light bulb. I'm a firm believer in LEDs and they're pretty inexpensive now and don't seem to put off really that much heat that they would melt foam especially with the aluminum glued on top. That may or may not be a trial by error thing for some. ... show more

these replace traditional fixtures on both sides of the garage doors. didn't need a lot of light but enough since the house is a bit far back from the street light. well, these really impressed. it's a modern light but it works quite well with the look and directed illumination we wanted - out and down. so yeah, that bubbled-plexiglass is quite attractive. i just wish they had additional color choices, like orb. installation is straightforward and simple. the lens (plexiglass) works well be it on or off. it has 2 pre-drilled holes for screws to hold it in place on the fixture. you don't want to overtighten them. in fact, it may be better to allow some play for expansion/contraction and ice. overall, it's nicely designed. i wish it had a center mount to minimize the risk of losing one of the side-mounted screws. what was thoughtful though, they included an additional screw, just in case. we did have to order twice. while the box/packaging showed no distress, one fixture had a dent and some ever-so-slight discoloration. these have a smaller footprint then what they replace. we wondered if they would "lost" with our 3-car door setup; but no. they are less intrusive than what was replaced and much less likely to have cobwebs in places that are difficult to reach. so a keeper, for sure. ... show more

We purchased two lights to install in our backyard. These are low wattage but fairly bright lights. They look very slick and modern if that’s what you are looking for. The glass has a modern grainy look when lit up. The picture doesn’t do the justice here. It looks much better in person. I think the pricing is fair as well. Highly recommended!! ... show more
