Product arrived as promised in a well packaged box. It arrived on time as well. Basic assembly was minimal and the included template was nice. There are mounting plates and hardware included which is nice both the light and solar panel can be removed with no tools required, as both bases slide into the mounted plate. It charged all day and we test tried it and for a small light the output was impressive. I was not trying to light a huge area so I only used 1 of the 2 lights sent (for now). I'm only trying to light up our side gate when approaching from either side. Just trying to give my wife and her friends a little more peace of mind at night. I mounted the light fixture higher than the reccomended 6ft as I did not want to mount it into the stucco side wall of my house. The light is over 10ft high and the solar panel is another 2ft higher to get full sun all day (see photo). Pleasently surprised when after returning from dinner when approaching the gate, it lit up just how I wanted for about 20 seconds. I went around and tried to see if it would motion sense me from the other side of the gate and it worked perfectly. Woo-hoo! 👍 I really am satisfied so far in all respects. I cannot add much to how reliable this will be over time, as it's only been up and operational for a short time. My wife wanted a light under our porch and I didn’t want to run wires. This was a easy and cheap solution. My parents now have a couple under their pole barn after seeing mine. The remotes have been 100% useless on all of them but that’s not a big deal.

Item works great. Remote control but there IS a manual switch/button that has to be pressed on back for them to work. Seller sent me replacement when i left a poor review and and asked to return. I'm keeping them too and paying a second time for my stupidity. Seller replaced and sent a note as nicely as possible basically saying "did you turn them on". Just push the button on back, hard to find but it's there, and they work great. ... show more

Out of the set, only 1 light worked for about 5hrs & it was very bright. Put panels in sun to recharge both lights and neither of them have worked since and right during power outage, when you really need products to work.

If the remote is BEHIND the light, it will only work if you are about 2 feet away, and only if there are no intervening materials. If you want to mount this light on a house to illuminate a yard, and you want to activate it with the remote from inside the house, it won't work. This should have been explained in the description. The light is fairly bright. If you are facing it, the remote will work from about 25 feet away, if you aim it directly at the light. I also liked the long cable between the solar collection unit and light. But with no way to activate the light from inside the house, I had to return it. ... show more
