I ordered this hat last year for the summer. I work at a farm and I'm always in the heat. This hat keeps me so cool and it's so lightweight!! I've had no problems with it. Follow the directions on how to use, soak, wring out and flick and it lasts for a while! I've already had to wash it a few times, but it still performs as it did when I first bought it. I recommend hand washing and air drying. I see some reviews saying they don't like the velcro, me personally I have no problems with the velcro. I could see it becoming a problem if you constantly undo the velcro, but even still that would take a lot. 100% satisfied with this and if I ever need an additional hat or my first one gets too worn I will be purchasing this one again. ... show more

These are probably the best fitting cap I've ever had. They are lightweight, fit well and I like the UV 50 blocking feature, especially since I've had multiple scalp cancers from years of over-exposure to the sun. Have not gotten scalp burns when I've worn this hat, even when in the summer sun for hours and with very thin and fine scalp pair. They do not shield your ears from sun, but the front brim shields my face fairly well. So far they have been very durable through multiple washings. ... show more

This is our 3rd mission hat between hubby and I. We both like the fact we can wash them easy or douse them with water and wear them on really hot days. I am not a grey person nor really like camo but this I really like. Not super dark grey and the bill of the hat is not super long so a woman can also wear it. I bought this hat for hiking in Utah. I loved that it was white and from Mission. I have a Mission cooling towel that I love and use during the summer when I have to sit outside at swim lessons when it’s 110 degrees in AZ. Back to the hat, overall good looking, but it was tight on my head. You can loosen the back, but even so, it felt tight. I read similar reviews, but really liked the look and when I first tried it on it was just ok. For the price and what I needed it for, it was worth buying, but they should make it larger. If I could replace with a larger size, I would because it’s a cute hat that I wore on our hikes and overall liked. I didn’t try the water cooling feature as the weather was nice and cool while we were in Utah, so I can’t speak to that feature. ... show more

I just replaced the black Mission hat I somehow lost in CA. The head portion seems lighter than my previous one- which makes it cooler. It also seems that the hat is larger which I like as it is more adjustable. I am happy to have my hat back!
