It is true to color but very, very sheer. I ordered four curtains and this is how they look even with a privacy shade behind them. The good news is you can easily hang it on a tension rod. It is a very light curtain, and the rings on top make it easy to layer.

I wouldn't buy them again. The curtain is very light, the heavy metal rings are overwhelming on it. No matter how much you iron it (and it will need ironing, if you want it to look somehow nice), it will not look like the photo. I kept them because we needed something right away.
