This door knob is a game changer! My husband and I have been searching DESPERATELY for a replacement to our keypad pad lock that stopped working last winter, several of the buttons stopped working without any real explanation. This has been a GOD-SEND! Just the idea of taking 3 seconds to scan my fingerprint rather than hassle with very stiff and tiny buttons just to have to use the key for the lock anyway because the code failed after 3 tries! All just to get into my house! Installing and setting up this new door knob from start to finish took my husband and I only 45 min, tops! That includes installing the app and saving our fingerprints! This product is proof that we are FINALLY getting to the point where “smart-door knobs” are becoming more fine tuned and user friendly! The video attatched to my review will walk you through the whole process as well as the app features that I feel are notable. The peace of mind that this door knob provides by having SEVERAL backup options to unlock if something malfunctions or the battery dies (as this is the biggest and basically the only downside of any electric locks). As I mention in the video attached, this door knob has the option to be unlocked manually with a key, the app, a usb c cable to charge it enough to unlock electronically, as well as the main way of scanning your print quickly with a beep as well as a light around the scanner to confirm that it has scanned and it ready to unlock! The design: is not overly bulky but keep in mind it is deeper than the average round doorknobs as it has the added layer of the fingerprint scanning mechanisms, however, unlike a previous smart door knob we had it is not WIDE. We would have issues with smashing our hands into the door frame when we would turn the knob because it was so “bulky”. We don’t have that problem with this new door knob at all and I am SO HAPPY ABOUT THAT! Easy to use: YES! I have already recommended this door knob to my mother as she has been looking for an alternative to her keypad lock as well! I am confident she will easily be able to install it as well as download the app and set up her fingerprints on her own! It was so straight forward! If you take a look into the user manual there is a QR code a couple pages in that you can scan with your phones camera and it will take you straight to the App Store (android or apple) to install the app you need! It walks you through the whole process with well worded and easily understandable instructions! Overall, I do not have any complaints about this doorknob! I will update this review if I run into any issues or complications over time, but I have had this door knob installed for several days already and I’m kinda sad I didn’t have this in my life sooner! Haha! But that’s my take on this product! I think it is very affordable and well-priced for the quality! So at the risk of sounding dramatic, I just simply have to say it! This door knob is a total game changer! I do not miss the “key-fumbling” days of old! In my honest opinion, if you are even considering this product, get it! Don’t hesitate! Not only has this made life easier for myself and my husband, but I can’t say I don’t enjoy showing off my super neat doorknob to friends and family! Lol! Moral of the story, I LOVE THIS DOOR KNOB! These plugs do everything as advertised and they work perfectly. I wish I had gotten a bigger version if they made them because I tried this on my heater and it kept turning off because the smart plugs got to hot. But something less demanding like my box fan works perfectly and I’m sure many other less demanding things would work perfectly, I have my smart plugs scheduled to automatically turn off when my wake up alarm goes off so that when I take the blanket off me I’m not cold. 😂 As far as I can tell and I have scowered the app, this app has no kind of assistant integration. So for example I can’t do things like “Hey Google, turn off my box fan.” This would be an appreciated feature. ... show more

Easy set up. Alexia automatically linked the devices in my bedroom to the plug in. All I had to do was put the plug in the outlet and hold the set button for 4 seconds to activate.
