    I've tried the Exhale bags, the mini bags, pretty much everything OTHER than an actual Co2 Cylinder and regulator. None of them worked, and this was my last shot before buying a Co2 cylinder. I have a Co2 ppm reader, and the Co2 level never rose until after I placed this into the tent. I was getting around 430 ppm of Co2 before adding this, and after a few days the ppm climbed to around 1000. My plants exploded with growth and I am very happy to have tried this.     UPDATE: after a MONTH it is now producing CO2 - so I’m changing my review but in no way can I give it 5 stars because I was not informed that it would take weeks to begin working. I have no idea if it had to ferment or what, but I’m using the same CO2 meter and when I originally opened the product there was no CO2 being produced- I left it in the tent out of laziness and nothing happened until a month later I went to my tent and now suddenly the thing is producing CO2. Wonderful. I wish it had not taken a month. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Produced no CO2 - perhaps the one I received was defective? I have no idea but I will not purchase it again. My CO2 meter did not show any additional CO2 when I put this right above it - if I exhale anywhere near my meter it goes wild but this jar of (I don’t know what it is inside the jar exactly) put out exactly zero CO2 so this was a waste of time and money. ... show more

      • Works, but not self activated..so could get an old bucket....

    These buckets work great but have cons too! They are not self activated, so you don't know how much your going to get out of a bucket because you have no idea how old it is...I definitely did see rapid vegetation and healthy big leaves etc etc on the Cannabis I used a bucket of it for...It seems to have tapered off at about 2 months....In a pinch...I'd buy one again, but for the regular user of co2 bags etc...I will stick with exhale self activating co2 bags, because I choose when it becomes active unlike these buckets...and can better estimate the life expectancy of the bag.... ... show more

    I have an RDWC fallponic setup for growing lettuce. This is my first grow using a co2 producing product. I decided to stagger my order and buy the first one at the start and the second one a few weeks later. The first one had an inoculation date of 8/19. I was a little concerned that it was already over a month old but with the research I have done it does take some time for it begin producing. It had the bread yeast smell so it was working. Just pull the sticker off the top and ready to go. (I used another co2 product for my seedlings along with rapid rooters and I was able to get them into the system five days after germination.) I did record that it took only seven days for the roots to reach solution instead of ten to twelve with marked improvement in growth ( I keep a 3-4 inch gap from the bottom of a three inch net cup to the solution). I ordered the second mini ProCo2 and received it promptly as ever (thanks Amazon prime). It had a 9/22 date and was about a month old as well. No issues with the second one either. My growth has exploded! Humidity is up as expected and so far so good. I uploaded pictures of the start of my grow till the addition of the second unit and then with both ProCO2 mini’s (picture with lettuce out of bucket, total time with roots in solution for the is 17 days!). I have never had such growth in so short of time. I will be keeping up with the longevity of this product and possibly try the bigger size to compare. Thanks! ... show more

    I have indoor grow tent for garden variety plants during winter months. I traditionally have used home made CO2 generators (sugar and yeast) and 20 gallon CO2 tanks (best option). I was trying to find something in the middle. I have CO2 meters and I can tell you, for a fact, this item did not do anything to increase CO2 levels. $30 of nothing. I've had this CO2 container in my tents for four weeks now. My CO2 meter has been within 6" of this container (at the same level) with no profound readings. The selling point of 1500ppm is false advertising. My one liter bottle of sugar and yeast has out performed far beyond what this item is advertised as. I've tried the hanging fungus bags as well to no satisfactory results. Maybe I got a dud? But I highly doubt it. Trust me when I say that the correct amount of hours of daylight, PH controlled water, and proper water based fertilizer will support your growing needs beyond your expectations. You would have better luck opening your tent and exhaling inside of it to get high co2 levels then what this item can provide. You have been warned. I've placed this item directly above the CO2 meter with no results. If your investing in your crops, get the CO2 tank and a CO2 controller for day release only. You can sustain 1500ppm in your tents and have excellent yields. ... show more

    I bought this product hoping to improve CO2 levels in my grow tent. It did take a couple weeks, but if you look at the photo, my tent went from around 500 to almost 1400! it's definitely making CO2 and my plants look beautiful. I will definitely order another one once this one kicks the bucket. (pun intended) ... show more

    Seems to be a great product. It is a work in progress. Will be able to tell you in a few months the actual results. Been burning a candle to increase the CO2. Thought I would give it a go. Got it hanging above my plants and blending with a humidifier. I see this as a positive situation and only good things will come from this product.
