The media could not be loaded. The mini chain saw comes with everything you'll need to get you started. I immediately plugged in the battery to get a full charge. Each battery took about an hour to charge and off I went in search of a tree to prune. This saw is perfect for pruning around my yard, especially for the larger diameter branches in the one-inch to 3-inch range. It will cut through them with ease and make short work of them. No more straining with ratcheting pruners or a hand saw. Having this cordless chainsaw is just what the doctor ordered. It's very lightweight and there was no fatigue in handling for extended periods. It took me about 2 hours to prune everything needed. Having two batteries helped so there was no downtime waiting to charge them. I did cut a 4+ inch tree and it struggled a bit but let's be honest here and say this is not for cutting trees of this size. Keep to the smaller diameters and you will have no problem cutting through them. The ease of changing the chain along with a replacement goes a long way in deciding to purchase a mini chain saw. I have a thing for how items are packaged. This case is a great example of why I like things compartmentalized. There is a place for all parts to go into; when needed, it's an easy grab-and-go. The only downside I see with the case is with the latches. They are very flimsy and they will not stand the test of time. Overall I highly recommend this to anyone needing to do some pruning. Cons Like some other off-brand mini chainsaws, the batteries will last much longer than you can run the motor for. You'll be able to do something like 8-12 small branches or 2-3 larger ones and then it will go into a thermal protection mode and you have to wait for it to cool off. Pros Nice to include 2 batteries and a little dispenser for oiling the chain/bar. It also includes 2 chains which is good. The chain is nice and sharp. The batteries have charge indicators which is really nice. Net: The overheats are a bit annoying. For now I'm docking one star for it. ... show more

This is perfect for clearing out those saplings that come back every year and grow 8 ft tall and skinny in 12 months. The battery lasts great. I got through 11 mini trees and there was still battery left so no issue there. It is heavier than a toy but lighter and easier to maneuver than a small chain saw. The power is good.     • Locking mechanism malfunctions - dangerous!
The chainsaw had a lot of power and was quite good at cutting objects of varying thicknesses. However, the saw that we received seemed to have a malfunction in the locking mechanism that made it difficult to operate. Normally, the lock switch will latch into place and allow the machine to be used, but the lock switch would not stay in place. So, to make it work, I had to depress the switch and quickly push the trigger to get it to work. If the switch worked as it should, this would not be an issue. This mini chainsaw cordless surprise me how good, strong and light way is to cut branches, this cordless mini chainsaw a will make my job easer but cutting small branches after I cut with my big chainsaw, cleaning the tree is very easy with these cordless Chainsaw.     • Not for big jobs, but perfect for smaller ones.
I don't do a lot of heavy work in my yard, but on occasion I've had a small to medium branch that needed to go and all I had was a big chainsaw. I didn't like using it because as a small person I was a little intimidated and scared because of it's weight and power. Not to mention it seemed like overkill for small jobs. This, however is perfect. It works very well and makes the small jobs go faster. Not only that but it comes with everything you need. It comes in a sturdy carry case to store it away nicely. The really cool thing in my opinion is that it also included an extra chain for when the first one wears out. Battery, charger, oil, and instructions also come with it. This chainsaw will come in super handy for cutting small branches/logs less than 3” thick. I tested it on a small log that was a little less than 3” and it sawed through it without any trouble, then I tested on a 4.5” log and it started to struggle and the motor started smoking before it finished cutting. So I wouldn’t recommend this for anything larger than 4”, but I don’t think this is meant for anything larger than that. It comes with a two batteries, a charger, a spare chain, a pair of gloves (I would not trust them to save my fingers though), some safety glasses, an oil container, an instruction manual, and a really nice case that stores everything perfectly. If you have a bunch of trees in your yard that like to drop branches that are too big to simply break, but not big enough to get out your big chainsaw, I recommend the NOVORIK Mini Chainsaw. ... show more
