  • Durable and Fun!
Style: Whack-a-Mole Cat Toy
My cats have destroyed every toy I’ve given them within 24 hours, but this one has held up for 5 days already. I. Am. Amazed. They have so much fun, and are bored when I put it up when they stop playing for a while, so I always have to get it right back out. Even the cats that usually don’t play with other toys, like strings or mice, love this toy. It’s a big hit in this family of 13 cats, and I will definitely be buying another one when and if this one ever gives out. ... show more

  • Motion sensor is not built to last
Style: Whack-a-Mole Plus Cat Toy
We’ve had this for a couple months and the motion sensor completely went out so the toy will not work for my cat. Highly disappointed and would not recommend.

  • Cat loves it, but obvious room for improvement.
Style: Whack-a-Mole Cat Toy
First off, if I was reviewing just the advertised toy itself, I'd give it three stars. The reason I settled on 4 is because it comes packaged in a box that is itself another toy! It has little cutout lines on it that you can push bits of cardboard out of, and then hide some cat toys inside for your cats to try to fish out. My cat was distracted by this for hours before I even introduced the whack-a-mole toy to him! The box also came with a couple of toy balls. One of them I threw away because of the shiny material it was made of and my cat's Pica disorder, but the other was a perfect ball to hide in the box. I also added a couple little rattling mouse toys. In addition, the box includes several replacement feathers for the whack-a-mole toy and a short USB wire. Anyway, I love that care was put into the packaging so that it serves multiple purposes and is less wasteful, and that this company was generous with the included extras. As for the whack-a-mole toy itself, my cat loves it, perhaps a little too much. When I activate it, he'll play with it for hours at a time! In fact, his interest in it lasts longer than the toy does. Unfortunately, the battery life is not nearly long enough. I was hoping to have to charge it once or twice a week at most, but it doesn't even last a quarter of a day with the frequency with which my cat plays with it. Furthermore, it is designed to have a right side up. When it is upside down, the toy doesn't really function properly, and makes a constant noise that doesn't stop until you flip it back over. It kind of defeats the purpose of the toy going idle when the cat walks away from it if the toy is upside down and won't stop making noise and draining its short battery in the process. And speaking of noise, it is loud enough to hear across a room, but quiet enough that it won't bug you in the next room over, or if there is a medium level of ambient noise. I don't notice it too much while I'm watching movies or playing video games, but if I'm just sitting at my computer or something, it's very noticeable and a bit annoying. So, all in all, this toy needs to be able to flip itself over to right itself or be redesigned so that it works correctly regardless of which side it's sitting on, its battery life needs to be drastically improved, and it could be a little quieter. Aside from that, it's a winner. Even as we speak, my cat is staring at it, waiting for it to charge and wanting to play with it. I do still recommend this product as long as you're prepared for the caveats going in. ... show more

Style: Whack-a-Mole Plus Cat Toy
My 2 year old cat absolutely loves this toy! She is very curious and it keeps her occupied. She is an indoor cat. I like the fact that you don't have to use batteries and just charge it with the cord they send you. I would definitely recommend.

  • Almost Perfect - Fragile & Too easily flipped over
Style: Whack-a-Mole Cat Toy
First like most cat toys I buy I expect them to keep my cat's interest about a week if I am lucky. I am very please to share after a month my cat is still fascinated and nearly attached at the hip to this thing! Why no 5 stars? My cat is between 1-2 years old. So please take in account her energy levels for that age. Also she is 8lbs so not a big cat but not tiny either. Updated 11/14/22 Durability: After just 1 month 10 days my little destroyer has managed to claw the rubber sleeve that holds the feathers. She has pretty much destroyed the little white rubber sleeve and now after playing with it for just a minute she has pulled the feather completely out. It is a shame this toy did not last longer, it is by far her favorite toy and she has gotten a lot of use out of it in the short time it survived. I am hoping there will be an improved model soon that addresses the flaws with the design because I think they are really on to something special. Previous Durability After a 30 days of continuous play and I mean continuous as in having to recharge it every day as I work from home she has only destroyed the first feather. So for durability she is currently going through one (1) feather a month. I just installed the new feather this week we'll see if she has mastered her art of destruction and improves upon her time on the next one. Function: When you first turn it on you have to wait about 3-5 seconds (maybe for it to boot up?) before the sensor will work. I am usually the one that starts it for her and she is immediately engaged. She has also started leading me to it if its not running. It does turn on by itself or she gets it turned on by herself throughout the day but I do tend to be turning it on a lot for her but walking by and sticking my foot or hand in front of the sensor for 1-2 seconds then pulling it away. Problems: My cat can get her paws in the hole, when she does she will toss the toy. About 99% of the time it lands upside down and the feathers spin around but can only come out the side holes and generally are jammed on the top holes. I am flipping this thing back over constantly! Perhaps she has found a way to get more attention from me while I work by flipping it upside down and is now doing it intentionally just another wonderful mystery of the mind of our little companions. Recommendations: I am going to go to a craft store to see about some two-sided tape and perhaps a weighted plate to put on the bottom to reduce the flipping. I would also recommend rubber feet glued on all sides of it if you have hard floors to cut down on the noise when it is flipped over. In addition if the rubber feet are tall then likely the cat will be just as engaged when its upside down where they can peak and paw at it underneath. Ultimately I think this is a great concept and just needs some improvement to handle when it is flipped over, it is on hard surfaces and the way the feathers attach need to be more secure and preferable the holes a little smaller so they can't put their paws all the way inside and destroyer the sleeve the feathers are attached to. I read some other reviews that their cats got bored quickly so it really is up to the personality of your little friend. I for one have never come across a toy she has liked this much and therefore am motivated to improve it on my own for the shortcomings it has. ... show more

  • Cats love this toy
Style: Whack-a-Mole Cat Toy
A little pricey but you have to keep in mind that instead of buying batteries you charge it. Sturdy quality, thats great, because my cats play with this toy and I find it all over the house. They shove their paws in it, on it, around it. Like a boxer and it’s punching bag. LOL. Cats love it😻.
