Style: Whack-a-Mole Cat Toy
This was really cute to watch when I put it in front of my cats. One just watched it for about an hour before he attempted to catch the feather. We sometimes travel and have a cat sitter to check in on them. I'm thinking this will be a nice toy to have fully charged and leave out so that since it only turns on when they pass by it, it will keep them busy and stimulated. I love that it doesn't take batteries and its rechargeable. My cat is large and he could push it a little, but its sturdy and if he decided to sit on it, it wouldn't break. I would keep it on the floor though because I could see it being nudged off a counter. It wouldn't survive a fall to a hard floor surface. This would make a nice gift for a cat lover. ... show more

Style: Whack-a-Mole Cat Toy
My cat likes this toy, but he's not an active cat so gets bored with it quickly. He mostly watches it, so when it turns itself off (since he's not moving or trying to touch it), he ends up walking away. He's not attracted by the noise it makes - a gentle rustling sound, audible but NOT intrusive to humans - so I'd give this a "C". Reviewers have complained there are no replacement parts, as the feathers DO get pulled out at times. The box shipped with one replacement feather toy, so I'll use that next and hopefully the company will make replacement parts available soon. Today I also reviewed two other cat toys from Amazon. If you have kittens or a very active cat, the "ALL FOR PAWS Cat Toys Interactive Butterfly Flutter Bug Cat Automatic Toy" or something similar might work well for you. My 9 yr old cat did not care for it, but my neighbor's two kittens adore it! A toy that would appeal to almost any cat is the "AUKL Cat Toys Interactive Rotating Furious on Carpet, Motion Activate Cat Toy Ball", altho you need to keep track of it (it can roll under furniture so you have to retrieve it to recharge it; charges don't seem to last very long). As mentioned, my cat is not very active but he finds this toy a lot of fun! ... show more

Style: Whack-a-Mole Plus Cat Toy
The product works well so far, I have no complaints about that. I find my cats are utterly fascinated with it, but they're both a bit shy so they don't interact with it that much. I think for cats who are pretty bold and active this toy would work best; for those with lazier or shyer cats the independent and unpredictable motion might scare them a bit. It's a good product, but be aware that it might not work for your cat dependent on their personality. ... show more

Style: Whack-a-Mole Cat Toy
First off, if I was reviewing just the advertised toy itself, I'd give it three stars. The reason I settled on 4 is because it comes packaged in a box that is itself another toy! It has little cutout lines on it that you can push bits of cardboard out of, and then hide some cat toys inside for your cats to try to fish out. My cat was distracted by this for hours before I even introduced the whack-a-mole toy to him! The box also came with a couple of toy balls. One of them I threw away because of the shiny material it was made of and my cat's Pica disorder, but the other was a perfect ball to hide in the box. I also added a couple little rattling mouse toys. In addition, the box includes several replacement feathers for the whack-a-mole toy and a short USB wire. Anyway, I love that care was put into the packaging so that it serves multiple purposes and is less wasteful, and that this company was generous with the included extras. As for the whack-a-mole toy itself, my cat loves it, perhaps a little too much. When I activate it, he'll play with it for hours at a time! In fact, his interest in it lasts longer than the toy does. Unfortunately, the battery life is not nearly long enough. I was hoping to have to charge it once or twice a week at most, but it doesn't even last a quarter of a day with the frequency with which my cat plays with it. Furthermore, it is designed to have a right side up. When it is upside down, the toy doesn't really function properly, and makes a constant noise that doesn't stop until you flip it back over. It kind of defeats the purpose of the toy going idle when the cat walks away from it if the toy is upside down and won't stop making noise and draining its short battery in the process. And speaking of noise, it is loud enough to hear across a room, but quiet enough that it won't bug you in the next room over, or if there is a medium level of ambient noise. I don't notice it too much while I'm watching movies or playing video games, but if I'm just sitting at my computer or something, it's very noticeable and a bit annoying. So, all in all, this toy needs to be able to flip itself over to right itself or be redesigned so that it works correctly regardless of which side it's sitting on, its battery life needs to be drastically improved, and it could be a little quieter. Aside from that, it's a winner. Even as we speak, my cat is staring at it, waiting for it to charge and wanting to play with it. I do still recommend this product as long as you're prepared for the caveats going in. ... show more

Style: Whack-a-Mole Cat Toy
Great toy my cat loves it. Couple issues: First and foremost; it does not have a motion sensor. Unless mine was just shipped broken, what it has is a sort of distance sensor. This is critically different because when the cat plays with it and pushes it up against a wall, it will just run constantly, despite nothing moving near it. Second issue; It's loud. It started off quietish, but theres a little rubber gasket in it that acts as a silencer, and on mine it exploded within a week. The toy doesn't need that rubber bit to operate, but without it, it is very loud. I'm working on modifying it to be quieter. Those two things aside, my cat won't stop playing with it, so I guess it's working as intended in that regard. ... show more

Products is built to last, it’s very durable. Works just as described. The one thing I wish is that the toys peaked out a tad farther then they do .. My cats have a hard time ever catching them and I have 4 Siberians who are certainly not slow. 🐾
