  • Great quality !
Style: Coarse & Fine Focus Knobs
The adjustable brightness LED feature was a great addition, as it provided clear visibility even in low-light conditions. This came in handy for me when examining finer details on slides, especially at higher magnifications. The LED light is easily adjustable, making it adaptable to different environments or times of day. The kit comes with a nice selection of prepared slides, making it easy to dive right into exploring various samples. For a beginner, the provided slides were enough to get started, but I quickly found myself wanting more variety. The addition of some blank slides was a thoughtful touch, letting me prepare my own samples to explore. One of the best parts about this microscope is how it’s suitable for both kids and adults. I used it for home education, and it kept both me and my children engaged. The microscope feels durable and well-constructed, so I didn’t worry about it being too fragile for younger hands. ... show more

  • This scope is so much fun for adults as well as kids! Great gift for the science nerd in your life!
Style: Coarse Focus Knob
This microscope is so much fun to play with! It would make a fantastic gift for anyone in your life who is interested in science or biology. Although it's sold as a starter kit for kids, I'm thoroughly enjoying mine as an adult! It's super easy to setup and use. It comes with everything you need to get started exploring the macro world around you. I love that you can use it to take pictures with your smartphone! I have a 20-gallon freshwater planted aquarium with shrimp and all kinds of little critters. It's been really exciting getting to see some of them under the scope! Lastly, it's pretty affordable for everything that comes with it and the quality is very good. Overall, very happy with this product and would highly recommend! ... show more

  • A basic scope to let you see the micro world
Style: Coarse & Fine Focus Knobs
This is a nice little scope for your kids to see the microscopic world. I tis made with inexpensive materials so don't expect a $1000 lab scope. But it does give you quality images and you can get the feel of how to use a scope.

Says it's for kids but I got this for my husband because he kept saying he wants on so he can look at stuff under the microscope. It works great and he was really happy about it. It's pretty easy to use.

  • Damaged, Broken, Scratched, an absolute mess
Style: Coarse & Fine Focus Knobs
One thing that amazon says we should not comment on is shipping, and I think that’s fair, shipping is on Amazon, but what about packing, the initial packaging, that should be on the seller, and the packing on this Microscope was Abysmal. The box the microscope comes in is fine, it fits, it is the perfect shape, and its size should keep everything inside nice and tight. For the most part, it does, especially the Microscope itself but the rest of it’s stuff, deary me. So, let’s start from the top, the package came to me in an Amazon box. After I opened it, there was another box, the microscope box. Once I opened the microscope box, I immediately noticed the top card board cover which is meant to stop the microscope from moving was loose, also it was hand ripped, not cut, to make the microscope body fit. A part of the microscope body, what we are supposed to attach the lens to, was loose, it fell off and bumped all over the place. To be clear, there is no foam padding, nothing, just one cardboard top, to hold in it, and it didn’t even fit. Don’t forget, a microscope is all about lenses, not the metal part, and lenses are made of Glass, and there was nothing protecting it. But the microscope body fit, because on the side, was the storage cardboard body for all the additional stuff. The box for additional body stuff, was as large as the box, which is a good thing for the microscope body but it was nowhere near the right size for the things inside, it was massive for them. There were about 8- 10 demo slides, 2-3 empty slides, 3 zoom lenses, a light and a couple other things, it didn't need a box that large. Especially a box that has no padding or anything to keep things from moving around inside. When I opened the box I opened it in my bed because I was being super lazy as I usually am, and when I took the Microscope out, I thought, this isn’t right, and I hope that the attachments are okay. When I took out the additional box, I could hear things bumping around inside, and when I opened it, and slid everything out into the bed, I had 3 broken slides, slide right out along with everything else. One of the lenses also opened up and the glasses inside were all over the place, though, luckily it was inside a small zip lock bag and not mixed in with the rest of the mess. See, the slides have a case, I am going to assume they were packed in the case and they came off because they weren’t packed right nor taped close. The case opened and the slides came out and because there was no padding or anything of the sort, it bumped around everything and they broke. The lenses also opened up because of that, and guess what, the instructions aren’t as simple and do not tell you how to place them back together if the lens comes loose. Even though this part is easy to figure out, if you are going to pack this badly, add instructions on how to put them back together. Now, sadly, I messed up and didn’t take pictures because I had broken glass in my bed and I had to get that clean first, so I just moved everything, trashed the broken slides, and replaced the sheets, and when I came back to the Microscope I was so focused on seeing if the body was fine that I spaced on documenting the mess. The microscope was fine, and after I installed the lens, it worked. I used the surviving slides to check everything and I did not find any fault with the main machine. The main machine is solidly built, and given the fact that the glass parts are so badly packaged is shocking given the main body is built of metal and it worked, at least for then. Almost all the slides though, did have their corners scratched, and the rest of the things had some damage but nothing devastating like the broken ones. The microscope works, it is a well built microscope, I liked it, but the packaging is so bad that I cannot say that it makes for a good microscope. It is bad for the wrong reasons. Reasons that could easily have been avoided. How do you not know that glass products should always be tightly pact, on a Microscope that you are charging $100 for is shocking. If every piece is packed the same as mine, this should never be charged $100. This shouldn’t be charged $100 period but that's here nor there. There are cheaper and better microscopes on Amazon for $100, just search, but if you do buy from here, make sure you have the option for free return. ... show more

  • Nice beginner’s kit
Style: Coarse Focus Knob
This js a nice beginner’s kit. This microscope includes all items to get your kid entertained for ages! In the box you’ll find the different magnification lenses, phone stand (haven’t been able to figure out this one yet with my multicamera phone), collection tools, and a set of slides with different items to analyze. This has been a success in our house; as soon as I unpacked it I was able to immediately peel my kiddo from the screen and get him outside excited looking for things to put under the microscope. Heck, even I am having fun looking at things under the microscope with him. Definitely worth it as an activity to get your kiddos interested in science, the outdoors and less in electronic games. ... show more

  • Clearly not a $500 unit, but quite serviceable. Test with included slides.
Style: Coarse Focus Knob
This microscope actually works pretty well. It takes a while to figure out just how it all works. Test it using the included slides. Just remember, never focus with the lens going down. Move the lens down close to the slide as you watch from the side, to keep from running the lens into the slide and damaging both the slide and the lens. Then move the lens up to focus. The focus knob is pretty stiff. It needs some lubrication. The whole apparatus is very adaptable. Don't look at your drinking water... ... show more

  • Works great!
Style: Coarse Focus Knob
This is a great little microscope. It's very simple, and easy to configure. I got it to view spores at 400x magnification, but with the different lens combinations, this microscope goes up to 2000x magnification. There are several pieces to customize your viewing experience, including a holder to attach to the eyepiece so that you can view, record or take photos with your cell phone. It comes with a few slides and covers, as well as a set of pre-loaded slides (cotton, wood pulp, etc), tweezers, and a few other accessories. Definitely a great value for the price. ... show more
