My two " Mac Trucks" Goldfish need all the help they can receive. They are piglets. Not overfed, They are Dirty Birds. When they adopted me they were less than 2 inches long. They are now 7 and 6 inches long. Waste is present and accounted for. I do not have live plants, for those who do, I can't offer anything. This is a dark molasses colored liquid. I use a syringe, shoot the Microbe-Lift into a small cup mixed with some aquarium water, I pour it in the tank. No ill reactions have my fish expressed. I measure 5 ML for maintenance use. I've used 10 MLs too, (label has 5 ML/ 10 ML instructions), both are beneficial. The water will instantly become dark toned. it's not pretty, it is necessary. This does last up to 72 hours, depending on the amount of debris in the tank. Then BAM, Water is crystal clear once it's done cycling out waste. I find it a mental life saver. I've been dosing my tank daily with Prime, trying to save my fish after I falsely thought I could switch my fish from one (15g) tank, straight into a new (20g) tank if I used the substrate and water from the old tank. I was WRONG! I've had ammonia for days... The prime seemed to neutralize the nitrites.. but as you can see from the picture that I still have ammonia.. like the Prime didn't affect it at all! (Left/green vial) The right side is a test I did about 1 minute after adding Microbe-lift Xtreme to my tank, right into the filter out take. 1 minute! You can see the vials are some by side and clearly different. Hopefully, my fish will survive my mistake now ... show more
