I drilled and bolted this instead of welding it. Drilling the holes was very hard compared to the metal on the trailer. Once installed, I am pleased I exchanged out my old one.

    • Excellent replacement for those old trailers with outdated couplers

This turned out to be an excellent replacement for an older trailer that had a very outdated coupler. It was hard to get locked/unlocked and it's imposable to find any of those small diameter drop-through trailer tongue jacks that are new anymore. Remove the old coupler and weld-on this new, get a new modern tongue jack and you're "Good-to-Go". Rated at 14,000 pounds max (of course, that depends on the rest of the trailer specs). ... show more

This a frame coupler has some good heft to it. This comes with a decent paint job but after you weld it on your trailer you will have to repaint it. The coupler has a smooth action and fits the ball correctly. The edges are a little sharp along the sides but after you grind off the paint and weld it on that won’t be a problem. ... show more
