This "leatherette" vinyl is really great - in fact, this is the same exact product sold on an indie sewing supply website at a higher price, so I was happy to find it at nearly $7 less! It sewed very easily using an 80/12 microtex needle on a domestic sewing machine. It's soft with a brushed backing somewhat similar to corduroy wales, and the material has a lovely metallic crackle. It comes folded, but I was able to iron out the creases with a dry iron and a press cloth. It takes steam, too, so it can be interfaced to make bags (as I have done) - it needs the stability of interfacing for any bag making application. I definitely will be buying more! ... show more

I have purchased 5 colors of this fabric, all are very beautiful. I have made two bags so far. The material sews easily on my machine, even when folded onto itself multiple times. I have ironed an interfacing onto it with medium heat with no issues. It seems to hold up through being turned inside out repeatedly without cracking. ... show more
