For the price I am happy with this bed frame. It took about 20 minutes to put together and seems very sturdy. Main thing to keep in mind is that there is nothing holding the mattress in place, it simply sits on top of the platform. Since it’s sitting against metal and not the fabric of a box spring, it has a tendency to slide a bit. This is for a guest bed so I’m not worried about it, but I probably wouldn’t want this for my main bed frame. ... show more

We bought a similar platform and it had always squeaked. I was honestly relieved when that rickety old thing broke in our move so I could buy another. This one was so great, I bought 2 more for my 2 kids! I love that it is tall underneath for storage, it is built solidly and with only a couple bolts removed, would be easy to fold up and move! The sizing was great, quality superb and solid. I wish I had bought this the first time. It was even cheaper than my squeaky first one! If I were to complain about anything, it would be that the mattress slides easily along the platform. Is that bad? Well, in some ways yes, some no. I got the mattress on it by myself, but I do worry my kids will slide the mattress and fall through, to the platform underneath, being their monkey selves. Why buy a box spring? I was in need of a queen size bed frame and gravitated towards this one due to its lower cost. After reading all of the negative reviews, I was hesitant to make the purchase, but I'm actually glad I did. I've had the bed frame for about a month now, and no problems to report. I put it on a rug (I wouldn't trust the undersides of the posts on hardwood), and the bed frame's been quite sturdy. I don't notice any squeaking sounds, and the assembly was pretty straightforward. The corners do stick out past the mattress slightly, but I haven't hit my leg (yet, haha...). No complaints at this point, great purchase! ... show more
