  • So far so good
Style: Siding Nailer Only
Haven't ran too many nails through this yet but glad I finally picked up a coil nailer. Much nicer than having to stop all the time with my nr90 stick framer when nailing sheathing. Got it at a great price on here by accident as I haven't seen the same price since. For my uses I opted for this guy instead of the nv65 as the longer nails get used more for me than the shorter trims the 65 can shoot. Look at many solid siding manufacturers' spec sheets like true exterior and lp smart side and you'll see this has more value than the nv65 if you follow the recommended nail lengths and diameters. ... show more

  • tired of stoppingto load nails ? Great for siding and sheathing
Style: Siding Nailer Only
Coil nailer will accept up to 3 1/4 in nails. Great for siding and sheathing. I fired boxes of ring shank, stainless, 2 1/2 and 3 1/4 nails. Works great. a lot of coil nailers only accept up to 2 1/2 in nails. t

  • My favorite nail gun
Style: Siding Nailer Only
I wish I would’ve purchased one of these when I started installing Hardiplank. Framing nailer would always break the boards and I beat my fingers to death with a hammer and nails.

  • UPDATE: Great gun, well worth the price!
Style: Siding Nailer Only
I've got a project lined up for this gun. Give me a few days and let's see how she holds up. I will post back on my experience. Amazon had the gun to me in one day, outstanding service. I contacted Metabo on what I thought was a potential issue with the air plug being deflected a bit. I thought maybe this was a design defect. But, the technical department at Metabo, with a super helpful man Gary, went to his boss and showed him my pics and I was told it was designed this way on purpose to cause a bit of a deflection of the hose away from the magazine for the ease of installation of the coil nails. It seemed reasonable to me so the genuine test is how does it hold up over the next few days of me putting on siding. I will post after the project and let you know how it went. Update: Great gun, this gun has not jammed yet. Half a box of nails. I would definitely buy Hitachi-Metabo again. Has a good feel in the hand, good balance. I like the Aluminum hook its durable and nice and wide to hang or retrieve easily without a fight from ladders, rafters, rails, etc. You will not be disappointed with this gun. I purchased this one over the Max gun. I have used both and both are excellent guns. I wanted to see if Metabo was living up to the Hitachi reputation I think they are doing alright. ... show more

  • Junk
Style: Siding Nailer Only
Bought this to put up a bunch of siding, but had nothing but trouble with it. I did in fact oil it properly, but that was little consolation. Setting it up to drive the nails properly was a real pain. It took probably 20 or 30 nails before I could get the heads to set flush with the Hardy plank and not go through it. The adjustment is very hard to turn, and it's also very finicky about the air pressure. Once we had it set up and running, it seemed to be okay, but about 3/4 of the way through the first coil it decided to stop feeding. No amount of fiddling with the feed shaft would get it to work. It could fire one nail, but the remaining nails would not advance. The feed shaft slid back and forth freely—maybe an internal spring broke? At any rate, i was very disappointed that Metabo and Hitachi put their name on this tool. I returned it to Amazon and replaced it with a Bostitch, which worked flawlessly. ... show more
