The 4-1.2 in Disc Grinder - G12SR4 makes improvements on previous models with smaller grip diameter which contributes to easier control and less fatigue with continuous use, increased performance with a higher power input of 6.2 amp and higher overload durability. The powerful 6.2 amp motor delivers great performance on tough jobs. The new motor design creates better cooling efficiency and ensures high motor durability. weighs nicely, it grinds really well, the durability is goos survived rain fall, safe wise ive been told the switch isnt safe i personally thinks its much better the disk are great carry case is awesome and compact feels and works wonderfully

Seems like it’s a good product. Not a bad product for the price, works just as good as a Dewalt grinder for half the price. Will see if it holds up over time. Definitely recommend, the case is nice to have.

After reading some of the negative reviews, I was expecting a piece of junk that sounded like a coffee can full of rocks. This tool has a very substantial feel and appears to be good quality. Angle grinders are never the smoothest-running power tools, but this one feels a lot closer to one of my better grinders than it does to one from the local tool place that sells cheap imports; and I have bought many of both. This is definitely better made than the cheapo variety. It is true that the on-off switch is a little stiff. It’ll probably loosen up a bit with use. It’s not a problem in any case. I have expensive angle grinders, but I like to use cheap ones for dirtier jobs that don’t require the power of a more expensive tool. This one will be perfect for that use. 6.2 amps is plenty for many light tasks such as wire brushing the slag off of welds and the like. This is a good buy, and when it does go to tool heaven, the case - and those aren't cheap - will live on. EDIT: I just spent a full day on a welding project and used this grinder quite a bit. I have several angle grinders with different flap disks, wire brushes, cutoff wheels etc. because no one likes changing the wheels constantly. The last one of my cheap grinders from the freight place stopped working altogether - it's switch hasn't locked for a long time but at least it spun. I replaced it with another one of these Metabo HPTs. They're a good machine for a low price. Hard to beat and even though the price has gone up 25% over what I paid, it's still a very good value. ... show more
