Everything about these bed frames was spectacular! The materials are solid, everything fits together perfectly. So easy and all the tools are provided for you! They thought of everything with this design and ease of construction. It came with rubber stickies for all feet and legs on the bed frame so it doesn’t slip and move on hardwood or tile floors. The slats all screwed in and were Velcro as well! There were also two Velcro type sticky slats on the supports to aid in the mattress not slipping all around. This is probably one of the best bed frames I have ever owned. I got the 12 inch grand bed frame. It’s solid wood. The bed height is truly 12 inches. I love how sturdy it is and how much space is underneath. It’s very minimalistic and can go with anything. There is no wobble and the bed doesn’t creak like most wood beds do. It’s so comfortable. It only took me about 1 hour to set everything up. The assembly was very easy. This is coming from a woman that isn't very strong. So if I can do it, anyone can. I will say the package was very heavy and it took 2 people to move the box. So be prepared. I still have more testing to do but right now it’s a 100/10 for me! ... show more

My granddaughter outgrew a smaller youth bed and sleeping on an inflatable when she visits has not been a great option. I am SO happy I found the Mellow Solid Wood Platform Bed. Yes, it is solid, attractive wood. It arrived with all of the hardware and even a handy ratchet wrench. Instructions were clear and everything fit as described with assembly in less than an hour. This boxed bed frame is incredible for the ~240 I paid. I got the high, black king frame. It has all metal fasteners and it screws into metal fasteners. Good hole tolerances and easy to assemble. And attention to a few small details like felt on the center bar so the slats don’t make noise, anti-slip strips on two slats to help bed stay in place, and Velcro on the slats. Together it feels incredibly sturdy and looks simple without looking cheap. PS I HATE boxed furniture but didn’t want my parents sleeping on the mattress on the floor when they come. This is perfect for guest rooms, dorms or just minimalistic styles. ... show more

The bed frame does not make noise so far however I just put it up who knows in the long run. It did kind of wiggle at first when I installed the middle legs. So I did have to add something extra at the bottom of the legs. I do think this maybe has to do with my floor instead of the bed frame. But it is weird that before I added the middle legs it was sturdy and no wiggling was going on. The wood feels nice and looks nice and it was really easy to install. Watch out for that middle leg on the sides definitely is toe stubber 3000 ! Haha ... show more

I was looking for a platform type wood bed frame that was inexpensive and this one is perfect. Super good quality very sturdy wood. I was worried it would be unstable but it feels very sturdy and like it’ll last. Super easy to assemble as well, maybe 20 mins max. The wood slats have velcro that attach to the base which is super nice because they won’t slide at all. They also have tape so that the mattress won’t slide either. It says no box spring needed but I did get a little 4 inch platform for under the mattress just because I wanted that extra support for the mattress. So far no noise or creaks at all. For a fraction of the price of bed frames at furniture stores, this frame feels like about the same quality. The price actually had me worried that this frame was going to be low quality, but I'm glad I took the chance with the aide of all of the positive reviews here. The frame was super easy to assemble by myself in about 20 minutes. If you're doing it alone you'll need to pile some books under the side pieces when you get to the part where you're connecting the full frame to keep the pieces lined up. The way that they package the slats made it so easy to install. In about two minutes the slats on both ends were done, meanwhile I had a friend complain to me about the hours it took her to install IKEA slats. This bed has anything in IKEA beat by a mile. Other than a creak here or there when I'm getting up, the bed has been silent. The only thing I could complain about is that because I bought the bed in "White" the pieces had a strong fresh paint smell when it arrived. So much so I considered returning it. I took the packaging apart and let the wood pieces air out in my garage for a couple of day and that did the trick. I don't think I'd have had that issue with the natural wood colors. For foam bed users, I'm using a Tuft and Needle bed (the first model they sold online) and I've seen no issues with the slat spacing. ... show more
