My 18 month old granddaughter loves knobs, locks, latches all on cabinets and doors! The moment she saw this board full of them she grabbed it up and seldom puts it aside. The metal latches are shiny and bright. Very catching to a toddlers eye. And all of the doors with numbered animals painted inside can be slammed over and over unlike our real doors! We had already bought the switch board panel which has taught her fine motor skills with little lights and buttons. Such clever toys for little ones to get absorbed in learning basic eye hand skills and alot more. We recently bought this for our 15-month-old, as she loves figuring out locks and even her car seat clip. This toy has kept her engaged and allows her to practice the skill of maneuvering various types of locks to build fine motor skills. What I love most about it is that the locks are realistic and made of metal (no cheap plastic; this is the real deal). There are also a wide variety of locks, some of which she can manipulate now and others which are more challenging, so I think she’ll be able to use this for some time to come. This is a timeless gift as I have seen 7 -12+ months use this puzzle. It's very colorful, shiny, engaging and attractive to toddlers and older. I appreciate the ease of just opening the doors for young ages and then the actual coordinating parts for older kids. One of the hinges was off one of the doors which I exchanged quite easily. This "puzzle" was an instant hit with our 2 year old granddaughter! With lots of latches to open and close, and fun pictures of animals to count, it keeps her entertained every time she comes over. Great for fine motor skills, counting, colors, animal naming and more. Great quality!
