The media could not be loaded. The paints are a little hard to mix (would've probably been easier if there were actually instructions) I wasn't sure if I was supposed to mix this with water, alcohol, or just use it as is. I didn't want to mix alcohol so I didn't. I tried to just use the white without mixing and nothing happened. I mixed water with the white and had great difficulty mixing DROPS let alone a nice amount of water. For the black I was able to just use the brush and apply, it did come off a little streaky. do what's best for you. I was able to apply the red with the brush and sponge itself. The brushes are great you get a good range to work with and they seem easy enough to clean. The paint was the hardest to clean off obviously, but surprisingly the white was the hardest to clean out of the sponge and brushes. I used dawn soap because literally nothing else worked to clean the brushes/sponge. The red did stain the sponge a bit but I expected that. I used charcoal face wipes to clean it off and it cleans off nicely! Pros: vibrant,not streaky (if you get the right consistency),blends nicely,easy to clean off face (with charcoal wipes), lovely brushes, and some nice sponges Cons: this does NOT dry (you'll need a setting powder), goes everywhere (again setting powder will probably fix this), extremely difficult to clean out of the sponge/brushes, no instructions, and it says, "vegan" (they do use beeswax) so just a heads up if you're vegan. Overall, I would recommend these to try if you know what you're doing with this type of stuff because if you don't have a general know how, you're going to do some searching and not really get answers. The lack of instructions can be frustrating to beginners. ... show more

Fairly heavily pigmented, so a little will go a long way. Does on more solid if dabbed on in little strokes. A second coat after the base is dry would be very intense and solid. It is waterproof, and takes some time to dry to the touch, so a clear powder sealer is recommended to let it set up faster. It does smear when touched while it is wet. (The black stays wet to the touch for a long time... it needs some sealer help, definitely!) It smooths out and blends and fades very easily... makes me wish that there were more colors included in this basic set! It would be fun to go wild with it! I like that it comes with so many brushes! I am not quite so sure about some of the ingredients, they do not look all that natural, but at least they are labeled. Halloween is coming, and I will be ready! ... show more

This Clown Makeup set comes complete with the (3) colors White, Black and Red along with (6) assorted tip size brushes and (4) sponges. It goes on easily but I find that you have to either apply heavily or go with a second coat for good solid coverage. A single pass will leave a partially opaque/semi-transparent coating. Needed more layering than expected, and it feels a bit thick once you have enough to get an opaque layer. The oil base keeps it from feeling as dry, but it's able to smudge if you aren't careful. Washes off easily enough but comes off quick with dish soap
